Fantastic, now show your thousands of coins you should have.

You must use his proprietary coinviewer.exe in order to view the balance.  Cheesy

Yes, please....how many coins / day are you minting? Please show, before DarkSend comes out of Beta  Smiley

yoba pool is only mining with 12.12 MH/s so where is the 45 ish MH/s?

Your screenshot clearly show that you're getting less than 500kh/s.

So what's your point ?
Say me honestly, did u use cpu miner at all? Download minerd from github, run it and check how it calculate the hr.

Remove the -q flag from the command and see how much you are getting per thread man. Pretty much when a share is accepted it shows added hashrate of all threads of your CPU, which according to your screenshot is 500kh/s

Hell will freeze over before you can pull 40Mh/s from a cpu.....

And agree with the post above, stop comparing dicks.

EDIT: and rest of you stop feeding the troll
Pick up a pastern's brassiere to ur buttocks, byrrhidae. U are just garbage and couldn't even muse upon, what can i do with that drk pools.
U should soak a lesson that at one's ease indicates that a pastern will come and fart on ur potbelly.

that kind of hashrate relative to shimmering beetle which mines in the bank where carbuncles are walking.

Farters, in this video i beat DRK community with my hashrates.

And I should clarify with the social media bounties: the goal is to use them for genuine promotion rather than annoying spam, so please don't be obnoxious about it. And if you don't intend to post regularly in the account after collecting the bounty, please be willing to hand over the keys to us. Smiley

Criticisms:

Your media outreach is a bit unrealistic and it's not helpful to just list the "big boys" and say an article. You want real media outreach. Include the big boys, but you can't expect any of those to take notice of DRK at this point. Your bounty should be way more specific:

1. Compile a list of "influencial" cryptocurrency bloggers to conduct outreach to (approx 10-20 to start). This list needs to include contact information and be approved before outreach begins.

2. Write (and get approved) an outreach letter/email. This should be short and concise introducing the currency, the developer and providing the person you are contacting an incentive to reply back (i.e. the developer is making himself available for an interview, online Q&A sessions).

3. Nominate a single (or no more than a few people) to conduct the outreach. Bounties in the wild will just lead to mass confusion with no one "officially" representing the project. Trust me, if random people just start spamming "WRITE AN ARTICLE ABOUT DRK" with no real connection to the coin, nothing will happen.

You need to set into place some sort of review & approval process if you want to be professional about this. Set up a real process to conduct outreach If the team is inexperienced have them start with the smaller journalists to do trial runs.

The Security Bounties Are Very Vague
If you are really going to control this, you need to really understand the importance of the testing/QA and final endorsement of the security community to this coin.

Again, random, small bounties for bugs isn't the right approach. You need to get someone in place who can do the research to find a notable third-party, respected party in the world of security and crypto to audit the security and the goal being some sort of endorsement at the end of the process. Right now, these are bug-fixes.

This is the most important part of your list and all other stuff needs to be secondary. Again, if this coin can't deliver on the anonymous stuff, all other efforts are in vein. Getting reviewed by/endorsed by someone notable is what you are striving for.

Thank you, this is excellent critcism. Unfortunately I have a day job and only so much time to coordinate these bounties and write up detailed conditions for security testing. Hmm, maybe I can make a bounty for that...

So on that note: who wants to help define these bounties in more detail, answer queries & validate submissions? I could definitely use the help.

First draft of Darkcoin bounties

These are subject to change. Please suggest more and give me your feedback.

A quick explanation of how this will work: The "base bounty amount" is not the final bounty, it's a relative figure to make calculations easier. The base figure is adjusted depending on the actual donations we've received in the fundraiser. The "adjusted bounty amount" is what will actually be paid out.

TL/DR: Donate more, and all the bounties will go up!

*** PLEASE NOTE: Translation bounties will apply only to the new website, which is not yet launched! Expect it to be launched within a couple weeks. ***

PM me your submissions with some kind of proof that it's your work. Some of these bounties are first-in-gets-paid, and some will go into a pool where the best will be judged to receive the bounty (these are marked as such below).

Hey LimLims, I wanted to create the facebook page (no bounty necessary) but it has already been created, although it is not updated! If the person who created it is here, I'd like to be made admin of the page since I will be actively updating it.

www.facebook.com/darkcoin is the address and it hasn't been updated for a while.

No offense to the devs on this, but I think the new logo was chosen really quickly. It looks nice and everything but not professional enough. (No offense to sigi either). I suggest part of the new fund be dedicated to getting a high grade professional logo done. We can scout for talent on http://dribbble.com/ . There is some amazing work to be done and the logo can inspire. If the logo decision is already final, then so be it, otherwise a professional can really make it pop.

+1  I actually think some of the later proposed designs were more professional.  I also think we should spend a decent chunk on the logo.  It's the first thing you see when you see this coin.  It needs to make a great first impression!!
+1 agreed.

Also why do we need a letter of the alphabet (D) on the coin? It seems almost every alt is copying BTC with that and imo its pointless.

Well a great designer hired on dribble can do wonders, they can go in direction you haven't even thought of, mixing the letter with a logo for example.

I see there is a bounty for a "professionally vectorised art and logo", is the logo different to the 'coin image'?  I think the coin image/depiction is pretty awesome already.

Personally I see the coin image as something that can coexist with a darkcoin logo, I see them as different things. But that's just my 2c, and doesn't count as any official viewpoint. From reading this thread, it's clear that using the coin as an official logo is a divisive issue, so the idea with that bounty is to produce some options and have the community vote for which they like best. If the community votes to keep the existing logo, that's fine. Or someone might come up with something that blows everything out of the water -- we just don't know yet.

A great image gives people positive feedback and some designers can work magic. I can't wait to see some submissions and maybe get a vote after that. Or simply hiring an expert to create it.

I tried mining on my i7-4750 which is the same as the 4770 just at a lower clock speed, I'm getting 45KH/s per thread on 8 threads for 360KH/s total.

There's no way that those speeds are real.

after searching what minerd instructions best fit for my i7 3770k

found that minerd-avx-aes-sse2-sss3.exe bringing me 60kh/s per thread

[2014-03-11 13:14:17] 6 miner threads started, using 'X11' alg
[2014-03-11 13:14:18] Stratum detected new block
[2014-03-11 13:14:42] thread 2: 1475109 hashes, 61.39 khash/s
[2014-03-11 13:14:42] accepted: 1/1 (100.00%), 61.39 khash/s (
[2014-03-11 13:14:52] thread 3: 2097152 hashes, 61.84 khash/s
[2014-03-11 13:14:52] thread 1: 2097152 hashes, 61.68 khash/s
[2014-03-11 13:14:52] thread 0: 2097152 hashes, 61.63 khash/s
[2014-03-11 13:14:52] thread 5: 2097152 hashes, 61.59 khash/s
[2014-03-11 13:14:52] thread 4: 2097152 hashes, 61.49 khash/s
[2014-03-11 13:14:58] thread 5: 359957 hashes, 61.91 khash/s

i cant use rest 2 threads, they are reserved for those gpu's that are using them!

Another problem guys, last night i noticed that when i set 2 x 280x to mine, my cpu goes to 50% load... if i turn one card only 25% CPU load... so from this i can say that one card is taking my 25% of CPU no matter how many cores i disable or enable... if i enable only 1 core 2threads my cpu is like 99% with sgminer!

on other hand my older gpu's mining using only 1% of CPU!

can anyone figure out this? i would like to turn those 2 threads into 120kh/s
