This will probably be my next investment.. DRK or TIPS. Trying to understand the difference though. It a mixing service in both? Dark is a better name though.

DarkCoin has been added on www.coins2themoon.com
You can exchange DRK/BTC, DRK/LTC & DRK/DOGE

Nice that we have another exchange, although your mascot is pretty cool so how can your site look so amateurish? I'll wait for the first hack or two before putting any money on there. (e.g. : C-CEX , POLONIEX )

Its not amateurish, its just simple. I think that its a cliche that website has to shine like a diamond or be super duper glamorous.
By the way its very fast & safe, you can try to trade small at first Smiley

The fact the Darkcoin community wishes to not be assosiated with "moon" mumbo jumbo doesn't appeal to me for an exchange. Going to the moon is another way of saying "We will dump on you hard."

I don't mind the moon meme in an exchange, I just wonder how people can trust any new exchanges nowadays. Even if it works safely for a month or more, someone may know an exploit due to poor programming and wait for the time to attack when the exchange gains a bit of credibility.

Looks like it's time for the official pool to invest in some decent DOS protection.  A lot seem to use http://www.cloudflare.com/ddos

Unfortunately as people loose faith in the official pool, (and failovers) many are moving to the pool with too much hashpower :/

Stable, reliable pool, try lotterymining.com instead of the huge pool

Agreed.  Main one for me is the official pool, then a p2p, I"ll probably hadd lottermining as the third.

Yeah looks like the official pool is still having problems.  I'd guess a DOS attack.

Site is really struggling to load, maybe 1min per page, but my workers are still receiving and sending work there, and it didn't move over to my faillovers right now.  Hopefully my work is safe.

Edit: Looks like stratum is going up and down.  My rig keeps moving between the pools as it goes up and down.  Official pool, and p2p.

aahhh finally...

pxe booted the first 6 blades took some time to figure it out... now, if i could just get the last 2 power cables i would be able to fire up the last 8 blades...

This thing is for sha-256, right?  You're gonna mine bitcoin or something with it, right?

nope, its a blade server, imagine 14 computers with each 2x 3GHz xeon e5450 processors in 1 big box, 112 processing cores in total, each doing 47KH/s mining darkcoins

WOW!

and i need 2 power cables to get the last 8 up and running right now only 48 cores are mining

here is a picture:

Whats the cost of this one and i suppose GPU's are way cheaper than this.
Need some enlightment  Wink

its 720 Watts per MH/s ive asked the thread for other peoples watt usage to get an idea of how well it is.

buying this thing... 1000 pounds + 300 pounds for shipment (all paid by earned darkcoins)

Watt did you just say?

what i'm implying is; that is not very efficient.  based on the sudo studies I have conducted -

if you would like pm me, that would be ok.

could some ppl please post their watt usage per MH/s

I have 3 GPU's. 7950 x 2, and a 280x.  Getting 5.5MH/s, and drawing 500W at the wall.  That makes it 90W per MH/s. Unless I worked something out wrong.
