My last coins-e deposits hasn't shown up. The smaller amounts went through fine but my last transaction was larger and it's been over 24 hours with no response from support. Just a heads up if you're thinking about sending more than a few DRK to heir exchange.

What are the odds for the lottery based on? Do hashrate/worker count/time spent mining count or do all pool users have same chances?

everyone actively mining for has the same chance so it doesnt matter if your mining with 20 MH/s or 200 KH/s .

the list will be generated 5 times during a period, and then combined, so that even small miners show up, but also so you cant just "pop in" and win, then "pop out" again

And when you put the facts down, like 300k iceland citizens vs 450mn market cap, it's like 1.5m USD per icelander  Roll Eyes Yeah, that will end up well...

Except your math is wrong. It'd be right... if 300 people lived in Iceland. But you're off by 3 orders of magnitude. It would be like 1.5k, which is not a bad number to stimulate mass adoption.

edit: ps. I own no AUR and don't care about it.

Yep, you are right. 1.5k not 1.5mn...

we are growing, come and help mine darkcoin, and get a chance of winning the lottery pool.

once a week 50% of the fees, will be drawn,
to one lucky winner... is it your turn next?

Pool Pays Witdrawal fee: 0.0
Please spread your hashing power, we dont want 1 pool to have >50%

DDOS Protected pool

Come over to the new server, its blasting fast compared to the old server
old miners, your miners have been port forwarded to the new server,
when you get the time, change it to stratum+tcp://lotterymining.com:4444

After tomorrows lottery draw, the following 7 days there will be a draw EACH day, for 50% of the fees + 28.5 DRK
The first draw of the new round, will be Wednesday lotterypool then: 28.5 DRK + 50% of the fees...

This is an offer I really can't resist! See you there!

BIG WHALE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I'm seeing the network hash is 8.5 ghash right now, of which 2.45 are on the official pool and 3.4 ghash on coinmine.pl. Are the smaller pools and p2pools making up the extra 2.65 ghash or is it a solo whale miner?

The DarkSend beta doesn't fork the blockchain, correct? I can still safely send/receive DRK using the 0.8.9 Mac wallet?

No, it's backwards compatible

Would it be possible to reserve difficulty on pools?

It would prevent getting a spiked block of 500 forcefully solved by lets say 100mh/s pool - while the bigger pools keep relatively stable diffs at 300.

Can anyone see the problem?

While it'd be nice if pool operators voluntarily closed registrations as they near 40+ % of hashing power, they are not obligated to. It's a free market. It's ultimately up to users to move their hashing power elsewhere to protect the integrity of the network.

in my book, its crusial for a coin, that no pool has +50% no matter the reasoning behind having that many. Investors will see this, and can at any moment decide a coin is not stable and secure enough if 1 pools holds that much hashing power, i wouldnt invest in such a coin..

there are plenty of other pools, but miners tend to flock to the biggest pools, because they would be getting a steady, although smaller, payout per block.

Hi guys, I'me setting up a new p2pool
Address: drk.p2phash.com

Could some of you try to connect to it, I'd like to test what kind of load my server can handle. Since it's p2pool you won't loose any shares coming from another p2pool and local hashrate doesn't impact your earnings Smiley

Why https://www2.coinmine.pl/drk/ pool is not listed in OP?

Becuase recently it was WAY too big with like over 80% of the net hashrate. It is different now, but back then the pool operator was not cooperating by closing registrations at the devs request so Eduffield must have removed it.

Last thing we need is it getting too big again so I say leave it unlisted.

Hi

This is not completely true - 80% happened during the night (at least in my timezone) moreover I was on holidays (see the pool news post) and it was probably caused by some issues on other pools. When I read these messages my pool was between 40% and 50% so I did not see the reason to close registration.

COINMINE UPDATE #3

The coinmine pool has
2930 MHASH out of total 5169 MHASH on network which is 56.68%

Here is a list of all the alternative pools, transfer your miners to any one of these , ideally spread out as much as possible.

THIS IS CRUCIAL

It hasn't gone down yet, network hashrate has gone down only.

Hi Guys,

To be honest I don't get why it is so crucial, but let me explain how it works.

If I would have bad intentions (and skills) I could destroy 10 coins so far. I am operating pools almost a year now for 23 coins. My pools are fast and stable that's why people like to mine here.

feeleep

so far i can see you where aware of it, but decided not to close registrations until it had leveled out
