I cant get sgminer to connect to a pool. This is my script
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer --kernel darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://drkpool.com:3333 -u (myworkername) -p (mypassword) -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192

I have a 2 toxic 280x

I get it come up but the temp and rpm are out of control and the khash skyrockets and my gpus start making a strange sound

Help!

Fedoracoin is an innovative coin and the reason people came is because they feel the intense competition but they don't realize that darkcoin has them beat at every angle.

I need to find the inside story on where their mixer came from.  It feels like they may have ripped off the Stablecoin guy's implementation somehow.  Or Stablecoin guy was being lazy and they just took his idea and finished it.

I expected a massive shilling campaign by the Quarktards, and what shows up?  All these FEDORACOIN people of all things.

Also, Vertcoin got screwed because it became overwhelmingly the most profitable coin to mine for a long period of time.  Some pools had 250mhash by  a single user, and there would be 4 of them in a row (appeared to be related), all dumping coins in enormous quantity for profit.

It could have been either A) world's largest GPU farms  B)  Some of the larger botnets around with CPU miners  C)  Botnets utilizing only a % of the host GPU to mine

Similar things will happen to this coin and you'll just randomly see 5000 coins for sale pop up at rock bottom prices to crash the market.

The one advantage this coin has going for it to try and maintain price, less coins entering market based on hashrate, which VTC didn't do.  Some people are complaining this coin distribution algorithm is unfair in this thread already and favors early adopters, but it might be the only thing that saves it from 500mhash equivalent scrypt dumpers.

Once the testing is complete and successful (which it will be) for the new feature tomorrow this coin is going up in value big time. CANT WAIT Cheesy

Pretty happy with where DarkCoin is now - sitting in the blocks at $1 and change, and ready for a big breakout soon.

Darkcoin and Cashcoin (PoW + PoS) both utilize this same coin distribution method and are my favorite 2 coins to watch at the moment.  I'm not sure exactly what the market value of this coin should be quite yet, but Cashcoin is undervalued by at least 50-400% when comparing how good the coin is vs crap coins with similar quantity like Catcoin.

Darkcoin has become my favourite coin literally over night, with arrival of gpu miner. What I like is power consumption, which is almost 50% less than on scrypt, lower temps, and extremely low rpm :-) , and of course community.  I can't say I don't like the name and the logo, but on the other hand word "dark" is always considered as something evil . That is probably most important thing that will keep people off this coin no matter how good or bad the darkcoin is.

Who cares about perception or hype. This coin has a specific purpose and it will do that purpose well and that is making transactions completely anonymous.

I'm not mining this coin anymore. Diff to HIGH. Reward too low Smiley. Less miner good for the rest Cheesy

And this is why I don't understand the dumpers. 24 blocks per hour @ 24 DRK each = 576 per hour = 13,824 per day. At 0.002 it only requires 27.64 BTC to buy up an entire day's mining supply. Either difficulty has to drop or price has to rise. It will be interesting to see which.

The Future Of Work
What's up with drk.smalltimeminer.com?

Goddamn pool has a lot of my DRK.

Never ever leave your coin in a pool, have them send it to you at the lowest increment.

Having said that, I suspect RL got the owner and he doesn't realize it's down.

I'm seeing a lot of " stratum connection to (null) interrupted" and "stratum connection failed" errors over the last 24 hrs. I thought it was issues with smalltimeminer whom I was using. However, since switching to cpu-pool.net, I'm still seeing them maybe just a little less frequently. It's happening both cpu and gpu mining. Internet connection otherwise seems ok. Any suggestions or theories?
