Actually it did drop. Yesterday. It was 0.002 then went back to 0.001. Now back to 0.002+.

I guess this rise can't last for long. Should be some drop. Even if we head further up after that.

1. fix the intensity in 5850 (just 8 )
2. this is not scrypt, so the GPUs are not stressed as much (and are not as power hungry). Apparently some hashes are lagging the whole operation so the GPU has idle time.

It's hard to break in, I understand.  The best way to buy bitcoins is through https://coinbase.com/ they are based in the USA and have a good rep.  Now it will take a few days to get your coin and they trade for drk.

Anyone got a dual card (Mines an R9 280x and 5850) sgminer syntax for the GPU miner so they both work correctly.

Currently the R9 280X using the default 280x.bat file that came with the gpu files for Darkcoin is showing around 1.7MH which seems way to high when compared to other mining pools.. but the 5850 only shows about 50kh and both are not running very hot.

Is it right if I was to ask If I could buy some darkcoin here? or should I troll over to the currency exchange area? I tried buying some bitcoin to use on the exchanges but ended up getting scammed

How many blocs does it take to confirm ? I started to mine on smalltimeminer nearly 4 hours ago and I still didn't get a single transaction confirmed  

edit : ok found on page 16, 120 confs... something like 5 hours @ current hashrate. This coin is good to learn patience

For everyone new, please don't try to solo mine as it's very hard now, and could take months to land a block, don't bother, join a pool!  I'm in Lotterymining pool, it's great, and smalltime also needs more miners.  Please don't join a super large pool like the first one on the list, darkcoin.oc or something like that because it's bad for any one entity (a pool) to have more than 50% shares of the blocks found.  It's a security issue and now some reports have come out that say more than 1/3 of the mining power can compromise the security of the block chain.  All the  links are on the front page

Ok, so other info:

miners should be on the front page.  We do have a few instances of GPU miners that are working for some, but I don't know if they're on the front page.  These have been shared by the community at large, if they  help you please donate to them.  The best Cpu miner at the moment is version 1.3  

Make sure you have the latest wallet.  It's been forked twice and will be again when the darksend is ready.  First time was to change the name from Xcoin to Darkcoin.  The second time was to implement KGW.  You will not sync if you don't have the latest wallet

Finally, this developer, eduffield, is BUSY, he's been updating stuff, responding to our needs when needed and working to ensure the Darksend will be  implemented without issue.  Aside from our fearless leader, we've had several members who have pitched in to provide the community with miners and wallets.  I don't want to list them because I fear I'll forget someone.  We've been blessed with a wonderful group of people who really believe this coin is worthy of our efforts, but now we're being noticed, and the outside world will soon crash in upon us.
