phm's GPU miner compiled for Windows.

Speed seems identical to linux using 13.11 driver.

Edit: Added zlib1.dll to the zip.
Added example batch and config files.

Can someone upload the windows version again please? This link isn't working anymore  Sad

As others have found out, it's only utilising about 60% of the GPU, but even at that speed it's still more than 400% faster than my i7-4770.

I suspect a lot of scrypt-hoppers are going to jump on this coin very shortly.

judging from my pool shares it is certainly working, however output in sgminer doesnt look right. perhaps formatting issue.

DarkCoin will die the same way as Bitcoin died when ASIC miners for btc were released.

I don't understand this comment.  The developer designed Darkcoin to follow the same path as Bitcoin.  he knew it was only a matter of time before a GPU came out.  An ASIC on the other hand will take years, unless this coin becomes amazingly popular, maybe only a couple of years?

But anyway, Bitcoin is far from dead, I don't know what you mean?

And this coin's uniqueness comes from the obfuscation of the transactions, so nobody can look into  your checking account like they can with Bitcoin and most  other coins, and this is done right from the wallet.

It was sarcasm, sorry, I should've specify it clearly Smiley

If I get "Accepted ......... Dif 0/0 GPU 0  that means you didn't turn anything in right?  I mean it's 0/0???  I can't remember what it used to look like in litecoin, LOL

Yeah, when ASICs came out the price of bitcoin went from 50 to 1200

Phm gave us his GPU miner code, and I merged in his changes into my project at https://github.com/evan82/darkcoin-sgminer

I got it to compile and it seems to work for me, although I have a terrible GPU so I'm not positive.

Try to compile it and let me know if it works so I can pay the man.

Thanks!

Well I guess it's time to buy a new rig then...

This coin is cpu ONLY just as the title said, could anybody mine with GPU only ? If this is true ,it is unfair, isn't it? Huh

I originally thought it was GPU resistant where it would take a lot longer to implement, but where there is a will....

So it looks like tonight we got a semi working version.  It's working on my Linux but  not my windows....

CPU was going well for me on my 2 quad-core Xeon E5345s. Sadly I only have a Quadro FX-4600 in here though. I've been looking at upgrading anyways. So might as well since electric is included in rent.

Let's guess DRK could be the next MAX?

Error -11: Building Program
Error compiling program for search.
Frontend phase failed compilation.
Error: Creating kernel search failed!

Failed to init GPU thread 0, disabling device 0

Never seen this one before?Huh? I have the latest drivers / sdk, other versions of sg miner, cg miner, and even gui miner work fine for me.

edit: compiled myself and used the one shared in the forum (windows 7) same error

Seems specific to your setup, can you post the output of "sgminer.exe -n"?

Also a Radeon HD  serie......  Embarrassed

Yes, is that the problem?  My Ubuntu is running well on a 7570, about 320 kh/s  I mean, not much better than the CPU there, but it doubles the work on the one machine Smiley
