The Future Of Work
When trying to start sgminer, I get this:

[18:34:56] Started sgminer 4.0.0
[18:34:56] Started sgminer 4.0.0
[18:34:57] WARNING: GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT is not specified!
[18:34:57] WARNING: GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS is not specified!

Or else, if I do this in the beginning of the start command, it says command not found:

sudo export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100; export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1; ./sgminer -o -u -p etc...

Can anyone direct me in the right direction please?  Thanks so much!!

Did anyone manage to compile it on a Digital Ocean droplet? Will there be an improvement?

Phm gave us his GPU miner code, and I merged in his changes into my project at https://github.com/evan82/darkcoin-sgminer

I got it to compile and it seems to work for me, although I have a terrible GPU so I'm not positive.

Try to compile it and let me know if it works so I can pay the man.

Thanks!

Works for me. 2MH on a 280X, 1.2MH on a 6950.

Efficiency is better than I was expecting (based on load). Only slightly below that of the Maxcoin keccak kernel, which is also SHA-3, but considering there's 11 SHA-3 kernels here, I think that's pretty good going. Good job phm! Smiley

What is the efficiency? Have you mesaured watts?

Just an update:

2Mh/s on 280X
1.7Mh/s on 7950.

Less than 1% rejected.  My power draw at the wall is only 450W, when litecoin mining it 800W.  So I can probably optimize it a fair bit via thread settings etc.  I have no idea what will work well.

1,500DRK to someone that will help me get a windows environment setup to compile darkcoin-qt.exe, darkcoind.exe, minerd and sgminer.exe.

I can setup remote access to the PC for you.

There is no windows delivery yet?
For the new version of minerd

I can do this on Linux but haven't a clue for windows. I'm reading up on it, and if by some miracle I compile something that can be shared...I'll certainly post it, but don't hold your breath!  LOL  Sorry!

play it safe....create 6 completely unique imaginary people.

Warning: VPS crypto mining may be dangerous for your mental health. (This is a joke Smiley)

I am mining on the lotterymining pool right now and I suppose there is something off with it. The block finding rate is very unstable even though the hashrate doesn't change that much. It differs from several blocks per hour to a couple blocks a day. I think there might be a problem with pool software or network connection.

As far as I understand very long time between blocks doesn't lead to larger rewards but only to wasted hashpower.

Yep, that's why I moved out of there temporarily.

i will restart the server tomorrow when im in harbour, i dont dare to do so now, since i dont know when i have internet, and when i dont, so i might end up restarting it, but unable to start up stratum when its done rebooting..

Seems to be working fine for me right now.  I think it's just that we're small, and we can go through dry spells.  Also, the website being a little laggy doesn't equate to less coin per hour??

Holy crap time to go!  I'll see if I can get this running on my unix / BAMT rig with three Radeon GPUs.  I'll give it a shot, but I might need some step by steps!

It just compiled it, and it looks to be working!

I'm not sure if the feedback im getting from sgminer is correct, but the pool is saying that my working is going at 5,400 kh/s Smiley Thats with two 7950's and one R280.  I'm sure my setting, threads etc are far from optimal.

Thanks to all involed, I'll be sending some coins!

Edit: Yeah, getting about 5.5Mh/s right now with my three cards.  But I noticed I'm only pulling about 450W at the wall, where as I normally pull about 800W, so I'm sure it can go even faster.

We're happy to announce the DarkSend closed alpha is ready, we're just putting some finishing touches on it and we'll launch sometime this weekend. We're really excited to show this off to everyone!

+1
