ig0tik3d's version runs without problem. I don't know what the underlying hypervisor is.

Ok, because you have sse2. I was curious just about the message that said "not supporting x86_64".
But sure there is the problem with missing AES-NI and AVX.

As u can see, here misses both avx, aes-ni, and ssse3.  1.2c version by ig0tik3d compiles with this virtual machine?

Is it XEN the host of this virtual machine? I tried just with vmare, and there, with a processor that support VT instructions, the CPU is fully exposed, while there I see that cpuinfo reports a Qemu cpu.

I guess my virtual machine does not use hardware virtualization. Unfortunately the hypervisor there is out of my control.

Doesn't compile under KVM. Sure, there's limited CPU exposure.
Code:
error: CPU you selected does not support x86-64 instruction set

It is only 64 bit for now. Your OS in this case is 32bit? I tested with KVM on a virtual Machine, and it's ok. But guest OS needs to be 64 bit for now.

No, it's 64-bit.

Doesn't compile on Core 2 Quad either.

Code:
gcc -std=gnu99 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -pthread -fno-strict-aliasing     -O3 -march=native -MT minerd-hash.o -MD -MP -MF .deps/minerd-hash.Tpo -c -o minerd-hash.o `test -f 'x5/echo512/ccalik/aesni/hash.c' || echo './'`x5/echo512/ccalik/aesni/hash.c

...

Yes, Core 2 Quad doesnt support AES-NI and AVX instructions. I posted early the list of the processors supported. For Intel, from Sandy Bridge and later processors.

What is the cpu of your virtual machine? Could you post your "cat /proc/cpuinfo" ? And, the version 1.2c by ig0tik3d compiles on the same machine? Say me so I can figure out where is the problem.

Maaaan! +30% hashrate! I guess it now fully takes all the power from my Xeons and reconfigured kernel! Let me donate Smiley

New CPU Miner!!

I have created a new cpu-miner 64bit and I achieved about 22% more khs/sec .

This version is based on cpu-miner-1.2c by ig0tik3d, and plus uses AES-NI/AVX instructions from an other library, so it's usable with this list of Intel Processors:

http://ark.intel.com/search/advanced/?AESTech=true

and with these series by AMD:
    AMD Bulldozer-based processors
    AMD Piledriver-based processors.
    AMD Jaguar-based processors.
    AMD Kaveri-based processors.

I'll release it today, but it's in alpha stage and needs testing because I tried it just with a Sandy Bridge i5-2400 from a friend.

I have not cpus to mine, so bounties for my time will are very appreciated.

Let me know if you are interested.

dear elmad ... all time i post source code and binary after that claim donations ))) i think you can do the same))

Oh thanks, you are right! I dont ask for donations now or later, I'd want to say that I'll appreciate that later if it works for who use that, because I cant mine Smiley . Anyway, thanks to you, I forked ur project, but if u like, we can collaborate Smiley

You can't mine? Why not?

If you are writing the code of a miner, I assume you have at least one computer (maybe more).

I am mining this coin with just two computers, one of them being equipped with a low-end CPU.

I have just a old notebook. For this version, I wrote the code in this notebook, and compiled and tested on a my friend's computer Smiley .

Later, I need time to set the crosscompiler.

play it safe....create 6 completely unique imaginary people.

Warning: VPS crypto mining may be dangerous for your mental health. (This is a joke Smiley)

I am mining on the lotterymining pool right now and I suppose there is something off with it. The block finding rate is very unstable even though the hashrate doesn't change that much. It differs from several blocks per hour to a couple blocks a day. I think there might be a problem with pool software or network connection.

As far as I understand very long time between blocks doesn't lead to larger rewards but only to wasted hashpower.

Yep, that's why I moved out of there temporarily.
