A pool i'm actually using is letting users chose the "difficulty".
How do i know whats the best diff for my GPU?

You want to submit one share every 3-5 second to be most effective.

Could you tell us what diff to use for one, two, or three 280xs for example?

For one you want to use diff 1 . everything above that is already diff 4 and more than , lets say 5 gh/s should use diff 8

Look at ETH. From 0.002 to 0.016. Amazing.

Imagine decred from 0.003 to 0.024. It's possible and with only 21 millions coins it could reach higher prices.

Decred has only ~1.7 mil coins at the moment. Half of them owned by 0 company and I don't think we will see them on the market soon.

right, but if dev's will play well the game, decred could rise a lot.
Also vitalik from eth hold millions of eth in his hand as pre-mine + 18 millions usd from ico, but eth is going to the moon.

Decred will follow.
We wil see....

Continuous development is the key to successful a coin. With very experienced devs and great community support everything is possible.

Deltacredits changed her ticker code from DCR to DCRE

Wow i did not expect that.
However i don't see any statement from dev about that just a post from yobit that the ticker was changed on their exchange.
Still a very nice move from whoever was behind that

Excuse my ignorance here, but I've been away for several days and don't have the time right now to dig through the thread for information. How can I claim my airdrop coins? And how much did we each end up getting? I'm assuming the 5,000 limit of signups was reached here...

It wasn't reached, final participants number is 2970 and all of us got 282 coins. To claim them go to wallet.decred.org create a new wallet and specify your seed that you've generated when you confirmed your share.

obviously the first millions coins that were instamined belong to him!!!!? ;-) lol

There was no instamine. That's why the network behaved the way it did.

right here in the first block 1,680,000.0000000000 instantly mined in ONE MINUTE!!! LOL

===>

https://mainnet.decred.org/block/000000000000437482b6d47f82f374cde539440ddb108b0a76886f0d87d126b9

That was the premine.  Where do you think the airdrop coins came from?

The premine consists of 8% of the total supply of 21 million coins, meaning the premine consists of 1.68 million coins.

lol i never saw any evidence of the airdrop as described in the op... so let me get this right pre-mine of %8 plus %10 of all mined blocks so all in all %18 of all coins go to the company based in chicago? :\ sounds legit

Airdrops are a terrible way to distribute initial coins.  There is no way to know who actually received the coins or how many were actually distributed to individual users.  Many use multiple accounts to claim coins and it is very easy for much of the initial distribution to remain in the hands of the creators.  I have seen it happen with many cryptocurrencies.  NEM is a good example and similar to this initial distribution by airdrop.  I'm sure that there will be discussion about the airdrop distribution that will plague decred forever just as it does NEM.  Regardless, I did receive my 282 coins as did many others.  I do not believe that the airdrop was actually distributed to 2971 different individuals.  840,000 / 282.63795424 = 2971.  I spent no time or energy developing this cryptocurrency so anything I did receive was for free.  Was the airdrop open, honest, and fair?  It definitely was not an open process.  I'm not going to get into whether it was honest and I don't know how to determine if it was fair.  It is what it is.
