We are at block ~371K right now, and mine about 1500-2000 blocks a day. In about 250-300 days the PoW period will be over at current hash. Which means that if current network rates continue there will be approximately 40 million BOAT PoW-mined until the end of the PoW period. Can anyone confirm what the current circulating supply is on this coin? CMC says it's 18 million, but I am thinking it's actually much higher than that since there is 500 million coins total. Is there an active block explorer that list this information? There are 500 million total coins? That is a lot. When will that be reached and how much is monthly inflation? Also, is there a slack invite url? Thanks
We have asked this many times before as the stats on coinmarketcap seem to be wrong with Boat so I'm actually thinking the circulating supply is a lot higher as well. The inflation is low and will be low even after the pow is complete as the pos is only 5% per year so this will keep inflation low, don't know the exact amount it is so maybe the dev can help answer all our questions and maybe even get coinmarketcap to update their stats and get a working block explorer.

Yes, you need mining software (in the announcement post) and a pool to mine at. You can try solo mining, but since it sounds like you're getting started.. I'd start at a pool. They usually have instructions on how to setup the miner and get going. There's a small fee paid (1% is normal), but it's the easiest way to get started and then you can investigate solo mining further if interested and have the hardware.

But mining softwares in the announcement post are only for windows if I understand well and I have a Mac.
But maybe I have to try the pools. I also need to understand how the pool works. what is the better pool for BOAT?

I'm a real real newbie.No in my doubloon folder I don't have the .conf file. I have files with .dat .ini .log but not .conf
You need to create it yourself.
Create a new text document called: "Doubloon.txt"
Paste the stuff you need in it.
Save as "Doubloon.conf"
You can also just change the file extension of Doubloon.txt to Doubloon.conf.
Ok I understand, I changed the name and I wrote "Doubloon.conf" and in the "Doubloon.conf" I have all the addnodes.
Then, what should I do now?

is it just me or do the rewards seem to come quicker everytime?Yeah its a great little earner and no its not just you as I have noticed that as well on occasions. I can't believe how fast my stack has grown when staking and mining this coin. When mining Boat it can grow a lot faster and then the staking rewards are a bonus on the side, that is why I love this coin so much.
Could you please possibly explain to me how to stake coins?
I honestly cannot figure it out.
Can you please help, as you seem very knowledgeable in this, haha.

I can help in your wallet do you see the anchor ico? if it is grey you are not staking but if it is blue then you are staking. I believe the minimum staking is 4 hours but a maximum 1 day so after 1 day you should be staking Boat. Good luck and enjoy your rewards.

Well you need to download one of the miners from OP either cpu or gpu miner I am using CCminer and mining with my old gpu. Work out what you plan to mine with and go from there. I mine in yiimp.ccminer.org pool as like I said my gpu is an old one but if I had a gtx 1080 then I would solo mine as I would most likely mine more boat then mining in a pool.
