I started mining Lux to convert to Drip and got my first payout of 50 Drip coins today. Thanks, dev!

Is 250 coins the optimum input size for staking right now?

Hi, you would simply need to create new addresses within the wallet belong to yourself and send, for example, 1000 coins in your one address to four new addresses, belonging to you - split into batches of 250.

Doing this would ensure that only 250 coins are locked, from a staking perspective, for 51 confirmations/minutes after you receive each staking reward.  Grin
This choice can be useful for few staking rewards! Thanks about your idea.

Hi DRIP, another little question, is there any way to change number of thread used from Wallet to earn in POS mining?

We are now at day thee of our blockchain. The entire of month one will be dedicated to miners mining LUX/RVN to our addresses. After that, block rewards increase. The block rewards are lower now but there are fewer people earning them than there will be in one months time - so rewards are frequent.  Grin

Hi Drip, I'd love to participate but I can't send you a PM, because your setting doesn't allow for messages from newbies. Any chance you could adjust this?

Thanks bsizzle. The setting is now changed  Grin

This coin is really surprising because of the honesty of the devs I experienced so far. They are fully transparent and up to so far I got a generous exchange rate for all the mined RVN.
The first month staking rewards will go nearly all to stakers and the devs locked their masternodes from staking so that literally everything is going to community.
I will mine and stake to be one of the first to get a masternode!

Thanks for your kind words and your continued support of the DRIP project.  Grin

Received! Cheesy no staking since yesterday, but wallet is still open.

Please make sure your wallet is unlocked and staking status is green. I'm sure you have this done as you've already received some 9 DRIP staking rewards - but it's worth double checking.

Regarding numbers, at the moment, 80,000 coins are locked to masternodes and 176,588.4 are locked to dev addresses awaiting distribution to our miners and bounty program winners. These are not staking.

The total coin supply is 333,305 which means there are 76,715.6 coins eligible for staking - not all wallets are necessarily connected to the net 24/7 and staking but we'll assume the lowest possible rate of return here.

Based on current numbers, and with 1,440 blocks per day, people should get one staking reward, on average, per day for every 53.275 DRIP the hold. That's about a 17% daily return at present.

Of course, these are averages and, just like a mining pool could go on twice as long as it should before receiving a block reward, you could hold this 53.275 coins and not receive a staking reward for 2 days. In the long run, however, it should average out.

As promised, the dev team are not permitted to stake the funds that are being held for future distribution to miners. This is the reason current rewards are so frequent. Here is the detail after yesterdays payouts had concluded:

Premine: 290,000 (mostly for distribution to miners)
Locked to Masternodes: 80,000 (half of which is temporary until more masternodes come online - those 40,000 coins are also for distribution to miners)
Total Payout to Miners to date: 24,035.6

To be locked and not staked: 185,964.4

You will not see these addresses getting staking rewards.

how does this staking work?

u need to have some coins in the wallet and leave it open and u getting coins rewards Smiley

try to read about POS mining online its interesting

meaning I have to acquire some coins through purchase.

for the  moment u cannot buy drip but u can mine and then start staking

The approach for mining to the DRIP-owned addresses is as follows:

Create a DRIP address using the DRIP wallet
Private Message on Discord/Bitcointalk/Facebook/Twitter the DEV with your DRIP address and requesting a LUX or RVN address
Mine to a pool of your choice using the LUX or RVN address they provide and you will earn DRIP rewards

join the discord channel:

Thanks vipsvvvv.

For your information, you should create your own invite link to put in any replies you post on Bitcointalk or through other online platforms.

We are operating a daily bounty where the person who's invite link is used most that day receives a 5% share of a shared masternode to be run by the DRIP team until each winner has received a total of 5,000 coins. More detail can be found on the 'bounty-discord' channel of our Discord.

To create your own invite link, click the down arrow on the DRIP discord server beside the name 'DRIP Coin' on the top left of your screen. Make sure to edit it to never expire as the default is to expire after a short while and your invite link would be dead.

There is no issue with using the DRIP link - but you may have a chance at winning the daily prize if you create your own  Grin
