oh, yeah, now I remember, I had the same issue in the past. I have just secured my wallet.dat file, deleted the other files from my evergreencoin folder, restarted the app, and it worked.

Yeah that is called a 'fork'...
Looks like there is some bad chain fork out there... But yes the way you state is the best way to get back on the correct chain

Dunno. I am runing 7 other wallets and mining no problem. This wallet has been doing this a few days for me.

it's stuck syncronizing with network, even though I have 1-5-8 active connections and it's staking.
Just wont download the block chain

Just stuck like that...

Weird it's happening again. I start off with 1-4 connections and it slowly loses them and the blockchain gets stuck at 98% for hours.
No idea what's wrong..

I have been playing with my raspberry pi for 4 hours now, and rebooting and I have no issues syncing with the network.... maybe you have the firewall, or a misconfiguration on your system?

EverGreenCoin® (EGC) EverGreenCoin.org
At the moment EGC is just an altcoin like the rest for me, but what it makes it stand apart from the others is the transparant way of dealing with the community.
I feel that the dev's aim is sincere and that the goals set, are not ment as false promises to attract people to scam them all over.
I'm looking forward to the development of a solar miner, as I'm attracted to the idea of being able to mine without the electricity costs that normally go with that.
The gigantic amount of electricity that nowadays is being used for mining bitcoin alone, is a thing that Satoshi Nakamoto and early bitcoin adopters have never forseen.
Until that day I'll be staking EGC with the use of a 10 Watt consuming Windows 10 device and if things turn out like I've planned, I'll be staking just by the use of solar power in a few weeks.
Keep up the good work and I'll be an evergreenie for a long long time.

Thank you very much for the kind words Gizfreak!

Yes, the amount of electricity being consumed, largely produced by burning finite resources, puts us on a certain and unfortunate track. No one can argue that is not true, even if one chooses to deny the impact of greenhouse gasses. The fact that fossil fuels are limited alone demands us to seek better ways to both supply and conservatively use electricity. Not to mention all the terrible side effects.

The impact of sometimes flat-out wasteful uses of electricity stretches beyond the miner's budget. The more electricity is demanded, the more they can charge for it. I do feel this has detrimental effects on everyone. People that have nothing to do with mining and only want to power their refrigerator must pay more and more for that electricity. That electricity price is expected to quadruple in coming years. According to some people I personally know in the electrical power distribution industry, the number of those years is few.

As we demand more and more electricity, producers of the electricity also cut more and more corners. Fukushima.

Our environment containing our food, water, and air, and also our financial futures demand us to think wisely now while we still have time to alter our course.

Nothing at all has changed. Could you please post your conf file nodes. It might be that. I have no.conf file.

The conf file is not needed. Here, lets do this:

I have placed a peers.dat file at http://evergreencoin.org/peers.dat
Download that file. It has 52 peers and is fresh as of now. Place that file into your appdata folder, where your wallet.dat file is, and start your wallet.

I keep getting zero active connections to the EvergreenCoin network. Any ideas ?
It's been happening for two days now.

The network is very strong and the seed nodes are running as they always do.

Do you have a firewall installed? Has some other change happened in the two days? Software, hardware, or network wise for you?

If nothing seems to help, you can always delete the whole EverGreenCoin map at C:/users/yourname/AppData/Roaming/ EXCEPT wallet.dat (save it somewhere else).
Reinstall it and put the wallet.dat back into the map. After the syncing it should be alright again.

C: user, namer is ok but AppData Roaming i cant find on my system

You need to activate the hidden folders first to see it.

Thanks to the community members that have been assisting here while I was away from my desk with some personal matters. You guys are awesome.

Yes, teddybear, it seems you somehow got the chain corrupted. This can happen during a power outage or buy a wallet being forced to shutdown while it is writing to the chain. It is fairly common to happen and is no reason for alarm as your coins are safe. The biggest "damage" that comes from this is you have to re-sync your wallet. But first, as these community members so graciously have pointed out, you need to remove the corrupted chain first. Precisely as the helpful members of the community have said, delete all the files EXCEPT your wallet.dat file and a evergreencoin.conf file should you happen to have made one. Also, it is advisable to not delete the peers.dat file but, that is not critical if you do as peers will be found. The only UN-replaceable file is the wallet.dat file.

Again, thanks for everyone helping out teddybear. Teddybear, if you are still having problems, please do not hesitate to ask for assistance as we are all here to help.
