I stakes something like 10 coins on my own wallet, and then maybe 20 or 30 more on POScoin site (forgot the actual name but you could just stake on their pools and earn a share of it).
If I'm correct, there's one staking pool for ElonCoin but that requires the fund to be sent to Custodial wallet which is a big risk. I'm not sure how delegation aka cold staking works, haven’t found too many information on it.

so, how much I can start for staking, is 1500 EMC not enough?.
1500 EMC is too low to get you a stake. You may get a block with 1500 EMC after staking one year  Cheesy kidding but yeah, it would require huge time. For getting a block daily, I think with current difficulty, you would be at least requiring 2 million EMC.
However, as said above, you can stake in pool too but there's no trusted pool has listed EMC yet.

So ...

What would be a 'good' amount to stake?

I just downloaded and running EMC Wallet, looks goods and smooth. I still don't have EMC balance to testing how the staking work. About TOR, I can't find how to enable it either and I can't find also how to Import wallet.dat to recover old account.
You can join the airdrop to get some free EMC but that's not enough for getting a staking reward in a short time. You need to hold a handsome amount to get stake on a regular basis.

To import your wallet.dat file from the old back up, simply install the new wallet, open it and close. Then, in your device directory, go to %appdata% and find the ElonCoin folder. Open the folder, delete the wallet.dat file in that folder and replace with your old back up wallet.dat. Run the wallet. That's it.

Regarding TOR connection, I'm not sure yet. Gotta check it out and will update you.
I just got an airdrop 1500 but I'm not sure from who, maybe someone on Twitter. because I dropped my address there. so, how much I can start for staking, is 1500 EMC not enough?.

Looks goods, evidently I generated a new address, this means I can still receive even my old address doesn't appear on my wallet. I think EMC uses HD wallet either.

Been a long, long time since I did POS coins, guys. There was a time I was having all these wallets open on my computer, at first making quite decent income from reselling back into BTC, but eventually when POS madness got crazy, not even high interest earning could counter the 99% price drop.

Tempted to see how far this goes as I do like lightlord and am a Bitvest supporter:P
Most of PoS coins out there are trash, no doubt, because of their supply model and specially without any real adoption. I had staked one coin few years ago and the output was too bad, I had incurred a good loss.
However, ElonCoin is also same PoS coin and I'm staking this one too. Have purchased some good amount and getting some good rewards. Don't know where this coin will be landed too (lightlord is leading to MARS  Cheesy). The block reward is supposed to be 500 EMC per coin after 2/3 years if I'm correct and after than, we may see some good pump. Let's hold and wait.

I stakes something like 10 coins on my own wallet, and then maybe 20 or 30 more on POScoin site (forgot the actual name but you could just stake on their pools and earn a share of it). Like I said, the income initially was good but when altcoin season busted, I basically lost everything (because of price drop).

2 to 3 years? I can wait, but not sure if memecoins will still be popular in 2024;) Let us find out!

Hi Crypto Friends :)
Seems more like a meme project than anything else. I am curious though, what can this project do different than alot of the other projects out there?

Proof of stake seems interesting, but I think for a project like this to take off, it would need to be able to offer something to investors

new exchange listing today . omg im so excited , i wonder if it will be dextrade or hotbit ? hmm ... but the website probably comes next after this ?
Dex-trade will list EMC today. That's what lightlord shared in discord. Regarding other exchange listing, there's no confirmation yet. There was a poll in the telegram only. And website is supposed to be launched soon, no confirmation yet though.

Definitely, lightlord will not ruin his reputation here. It may be a meme coin but he is not asking for anything to fund this project. I thought at first, this is just a joke but when I read that he is looking for people to manage some of the activities here, it means, he is pretty serious on this project. Let us see what goals he wants for this project, different one from his gambling sites.

Lightlord is hiring the best and highly reputable member of the community to promote Eloncoin, this has the making of a highly profitable project and with Lightlord reputation, it's not hard to promote this project, so far they are already in the market and many more exchanges coming in, this is a project to watch out now, get in while cheap or regret later.

What a god damned scam. Another one of these meme shitcoins. Hope this scam project fails.

What makes you thought that this coin is scam? First  no legendary ranked member gonna hold  a scam project.. Second this is not any ICO or IEO coin which will have bounty that makes you feel this is scam .. Third this is a mainnet coin such as DOGE . So watch out what you are saying!

I have written a simple guideline for staking eloncoin for the beginners who are new to PoS and have no idea how it works. This is a very simple guideline. I will write some more guidelines in the future if I get enough appreciation  Grin from the community.

Appreciate this Little Mouse.

My boss is pretty serious on this project as he is looking for dedicated persons to attend to this project.  It may evolve into something useful in the future. Who knows?

I have 12 connections to the network, and my wallet is open for the last five hours and had 52,500 Eloncoin but I'm not earning anything and I've been doing this for the last five days I have read this article
I had my 800k staked for the last 4 days and received no rewards  Cheesy although I used to get few stakes during a week. For some unknown reason, I didn’t get any for the last 4 days and today I had to reset my weight by splitting the coins.
To get a block, you have to stake more. Otherwise, with 52500 coins, you may receive a block after staking for a long time but that will not be cost affective. You are either running on a computer or renting VPS. Both has a cost to run the wallet for such a long time.

You can get this basic tutorial in ElonCoin wallet.
  • Wallet > Settings > Help > FAQ
  • Or you can simply click on the icon for FAQ, question mark, at the top right corner
  • See details in How do I stake EMC?
To stake, you need to unlock your wallet and matured coins that have at least 600 confirmations.

Does this mean 52500 Eloncoin is not enough to get a block? how many more Eloncoins to add so I can earn from staking.
With different amount of coin, you will have different weight on the network to stake. The higher number of coin, the bigger weight. Remember with same coin, your weight is not constant and will change when the network conditions. Imagine it as same as mining. Nowadays, you can not mine a single Bitcoin with one ASIC.

When you unlock your wallet, it still connect to the Internet and nodes in order to sync your wallet.

You can check active connections at the top of wallet as well as network traffic. Double click on the network icon to get it.

A. Why don’t I get a block?
It depends on how much ElonCoin you are holding for staking. If you are holding a few thousand coins, you are unlikely to get a block.

I have written at the very first of the article that your wallet has to be connected to the internet to stake EMC. Isn't it enough?

Especially if it is written by Eloncoin account like that.

Community can make contribution but with personal accounts. You are fast to register that account. Congratulations!  Tongue
I can change it in no time, anyway. I will change it tonight of course and use my nick here. Actually the purpose was to write articles on eloncoin and that's why I used the nick. Thank you for the suggestion.

The article was written a few days ago and was unpublished. Today, someone was looking for such a guidelines, that's why I published it earlier. I will update the article with some more info of course.
