Hi Brian,

What does it mean "There is no future for EnergyCoin pre v1.6"?

If someone who hold Energycoin do not update before the fork, will their coins be lost, or can they still update after the fork?

There is file EnergyCoin.conf with all the nodes included.
UnZip these files into the EnergyCoin blockchain folder on your Mac

(Bibliotheek is Dutch for Library)
But first remove all the files that in that folder exept wallet.dat.
I know it is a complex way to get your wallet operational but for now it is the only way.

In Q4 this year we want to have an installer that:
- put the blockchain bootstrap in the correct folder
- direct connect to the master nodes
- no need to config or apply complex computer operations.

For the RaspberryPI we have such an installer but not for windows and MacOs yet.
When EnergyParty is on main net there is webwallet available.
We plan to have also user friendly webwallet on top of EnergyParty in Q4 with API integration to our BicycleBits Ring-Ring application and Smart meters.

But first all the clients must migrate to v1.6.0 to make EnergyParty possible.

Bittrex is official running v1.6.0!

There are today still 13 nodes not running the old version.
Please update before next week!

Sorry, I don't know yet.
We work on a business case for this and it is in too early stage to give details.
But the idea is that master node get some extra reward from the ECF-team staking wallets.

It is totaly clear that we stand for energy applications and work on that now for more three years.
People see that we make progress and soon we are number 1 in energy!
There are a lot of ICO energy projects but we did on own power and that gives the current valuation.
There is no cheap ENRG avalable so I you see the real application then buy some!
We understand the power of blockchain for energy application and we have the right name for that!

I also have considered that in past to go that way for EnergyCoin and also fitness business.
But my preference focus is Sustainable Environmental Solutions using blockchain for Geo-Information and Energy applications.
After we have proven application in the Energy sector we also enter the Geo-Information domain with smart asset-management.
These two fields Geo-Information and Energy have also overlap but that is for next year if everting with energy is going smooth.

So that is a kind of a roadmap I work on with people and the challenge is to make it a realistic approach with profit for stakeholders.

No change in the block reward after the hard fork.

It will still be 5 ENRG per block. Don't worry about it. We like the static POS reward too.

So help me understand this. After the hard fork we will not longer get static 5 ENERGY as POS reward? This was one of the main reasons why I liked this coin.

When you get more intrest then there is also more inflation.
I tried Hyperstake and Snowball but then is too much inflation and coin shall die.
In the beginning of a currency a high PoS reward makes some sense but for EnergyCoin it is not.
Okay you need a lot of ENRG to get PoS reward each day and that we want to change.
We have the intention to stake the Foundation coins and with that stake we want extra attract people running a master node.

But first all the old pre v1.6 wallets have to update their client to make a stable network.
There are still 13 wallets running v1.5.1 but the majority is running v1.6.0 and also the most coins.
After the fork all old wallets disconnect automatic and these users have to update asap you can't send to Bittrex or other users your ENRG!
Don't wait for the last day because you will miss your possible stake rewards.
There is no support for pre v1.6 wallets after the fork.
If you have problem with update Peter will help you.
