Energy is moving ahead steadily and this is best thing regardless of the current value where it is now. It is time to buy and keep spreading word because a wait of few months is nothing in any projects. Energy has been here for more than 2 years and now development should be in last phases. Buying and holding will be profitable at this stage because it will make come back.

I'm happy that I can now again active and contribute to the development of EnergyCoin and EnergyParty.
I also share my face here so people can see who is behind EnergyCoin.

I am now a start-up after 26 years of working for an employer in Environmental Services Business.
In the beginning of 2014 I saw the opportunities for cryptocurrencies for my work field Geo-Information and Sustainable Environment.
Now we talk about blockchain instead of cryptocurrencies but the idea is basically the same.

We have soon EnergyParty platform available and that gives so huge possibilities for blockchain application.
I never lost my fait in the future of EnergyCoin and I know there are a lot of supporters that share my vision.
The current value for EnergyCoin is a fair value for new investors and existing investors who want to take some profit.
When the real applications come to live then the current value is very low but you have to be patient then rewards will come for sure.
Quit my job to make EnergyCoin a succes and I shall not stop developing business cases for EnergyCoin.
Hope to welcome new supporters and we have also a slack channel and I can send you invite if you want to join us there.

Wallet says not staking because you don't have mature coins. Why is it happening?   It was fine two days ago.

Edit: Don't worry guys. Now it says next stake time is after 10 hours.

We have not a fancy website yet and no application but that will come in time.

Energy coin is a long term thing. I already made back my initial investment. Just let it stake and come back in a few months.

We work on that.
In a few weeks the website is online.
Some people working on that are now on vacation.
No need to rush, development for real energy application takes time and people know we working on that.
The new logo is the beginning of new branding for EnergyCoin and the focus is ordinairy people with smartmeter, bicycle and smartphone.

Cool, but you should also focus on building a new website as the current one is really not acceptable.
If you want to gain trust and new investors, that is a must and new site should be created ASAP.

I 'm happy with current value and we shall were we are in 2018.
The fork gives so much new possibilities for application so I expect the value stays or go up when we have EnergyParty applications.
It is a level new investors can step in if they believe in the future of EnergyCoin.
So much possibilities only now no public sharing of roadmap.

The all time high was 19.2k sat when someone bought all coins up to that range, same thing happened few days later when the coin was pumped up to ~14k sat.
It came down pretty quickly.

I do believe in this project but I don't see five digits sat for ENRG in 2017.

FYI, we put it near the top of our own bootstrap conf file.

It's a Mandatory Update. Everyone shall update before block height 2390000.

EDIT:

The v1.6.0 client uses the LevelDB database which is incompatible to the old one. If you don't want to re-download the whole blockchain again, you can download the compatible blockchain data from our EnergyCoin Bootstrap Server.

And make sure you have the following line in your EnergyCoin.conf:


Because our bootstrap data already has blk0001.dat split into multiple files.

Over 20K blocks that is about 36 days from now.
That is the beginning of September this year.
We stake 540-550 blocks each day.

Don't wait too long!
The fork will actually occur at block height 2390000.
The new wallet is running very smooth.

Some more changes that are noticeable by normal users:

- Because we need to split the transaction index database file (former
blkindex.dat), we have to change the database in v1.6. But the new
database is not compatible to the old one. So, all users will have to
re-download the blockchain from scratch.

- Users who want to split the blockchain data file (blk0001.dat) will

- Users who want to disable debug.log will have put the following into
EnergyCoin.conf:
disabledebuglog=1
- validateaddress command now shows the redeem script (for multisig).
- signrawtransaction command now supports multisig redeem scripts.

When will the old wallet stop working? I have it staking actively and don't wish to change it unless absolutely necessary.
