Well it is not an easy job to do a fork, let's not jump to conclusions. Many scammers are out there, hunting for new ICO or fork to get their hands on other people's money. I prefer to judge people by the work they have done, and the promises they have made. The source code is not out yet, but it will be by the end of the month. So far, let's sum up what is done.
1. Blockchain is online.
2. Yobit credited the coin to their ETH holders.
3. MEW can be connected and all the wallets are credited as promised - 1:1 ETH to ETZ.
4. The transactions run fine with MEW, as long as the sending wallet contains 0.1 ETH or more.
5. Mining pool is working and people are receiving mined ETZ (I am also one of them).

If there were no miners mining the transactions, as you claim, then how on earth MEW to MEW transactions are getting through to the explorer?

http://explorer.etherzero.org/tx/0xe0cbd88547286158772c07e6074c7cf4a98b65080df2b7a119f0b4c909064b78

This one, for example. If I was not sure that the ETZ I was selling would 100% be transfered to my buyer, I would not post a sale. I believe that any community should live in a safe and stable environment, where people's reputation and the work they have actually done count.

The EtherZero wallet will be release in 1-2 months. At this moment you can only use Yobit.net ETZ wallet and trade ETZ there https://yobit.net/en/trade/ETZ/USD

EthereZero Team created  service to move your ETZ coins to YoBit wallet because their own wallet is not ready yet.

Here is the link: http://ether-zero.net/etz.html (this is their mirror site to avoid MetaMask lock).

You should enter your private keys to prove your ownerhsip of the balance and your Nick at Yobit.net

If you don't have an acocunt with Yobit.net it's very easy to register a new one in several minutes at https://yobit.net. All you need is to confirm your email address.

I wish you good luck with your ETZ coins! I already got my ETZ coins at YoBit wallet via this site and changed them to USD.

Now this is suss AF!!

@speed79 this is the kind of shit im talking about though .. http://ether-zero.net is not https://etherzero.org/ and who is who when the dev team don't speak a bar of f'ing English

edit: what i mean by this is its a easy target to phish when the team leading the project has no voice

i don't speak with out a proof and if you want proof here it is and they all from trusted source unlike all the etz news which all coming from ppl not official channels:

gethub + metamask pls read the whole post!!:

https://github.com/MetaMask/eth-phishing-detect/issues/653#issuecomment-357733464

scan of the orginal wallet they released then retracted:

https://cdn.pbrd.co/images/H3OJMnA.png

myehterwallet post on their twitter account pls read the whole tweet!!:

https://twitter.com/myetherwallet/status/954762712604528640

what els proof you need?!
i personally think once they run away with your eth then you will belive it ?!!
and you saying the dev team don't speak a word of English is onther bullshit excuse cas according to their orginal post their team is multi national team which include some of the team claiming to be from Europe so they do have English speaking ppl on thier team but then again if you couldn't see thro all this red flags you prob will not see thro their lies. my biggest red flag is tht their pool is actually redirecting the hash power of the miners to onther coin pools and giving you etz while they keeping the coin you mining. you can easly check the ip address you are mining of if you know how to do it.
how many more red flags you need?!!

I'm willing to sell direct only, from MEW to MEW wallet. Many people want to buy lower than Yobit and hold on to ETZ for the future.
The price might go up after more people get Yobit wallets. I would just prefer to get money now, since I'm a miner. I will send ETZ only to the wallet from which 0.3 ETH is deposited, very easy deal.

Took a very bad start, not something to announce and then cancel, that decision may not be taken positively and will be a kind of characteristic not to keep his word.

Here is the link: http://ether-zero.net/etz.html (this is their mirror site to avoid MetaMask lock).

You should enter your private keys to prove your ownerhsip of the balance and your Nick at Yobit.net
Don't enter your private key into here, it's a simple phishing site!

It isn't a simple phishing site. As you can see, the perpetrator managed to copy the whole website (etherzero.org) page by page. It's well planned with an effort to obtain other people's information. E for Effort!
Now, these people have the source code and it would be really easy for them to buy another domain and cause more misleading acts on the project.

I suggest for the ETZ developers to redesign the site immediately and add security measures to it.

Dam straight! & they need to hire a English speaking team with a good understanding/very close working environments & communication skills to handle all of this

Omg, this is just insane. This user is spreading bullshit over the forum, also in Korean, Russian and Japanese threads.
Do not use private keys anywhere online unless you want to donate your coins to scammers.

When ETZ appear on other exchanges, in addition to Yobit?
What kind of team? "launched by a group of professional DAPP developers" - is not very informative, there is a lot of negativity on this coin. Users of MEW can only wait "+" news... In my opinion now it is dangerous to take any action.

I've been mining with 300MH/s for the last hour and while I see my round share having some non-zero number, after a while it goes to zero. And all my balances (immature and pending) still stay at zero.

Is this normal?

lol i post so many time to warn ppl about this scam but for some reason some idiots still supporting this shit, so let me tell you an advice according to the miner community they ripping you off from your hash power they redirecting your has power to eth pool or etc pool and gaining the coins while you getting a ghost coin, the reason for tht is THEY DONOT HAVE A WORKING BLOCK CHAIN. don't waste your has power check few pages back on this post and you will find few miners discovered how they redirecting your hash power to what ever coin they want

You keep coming here with your red flags that Everyone reading this thread has seen... the issue here is you only have red flags and 0 real proof..

I was one of those guys mining before the pool was officially open and had speculated about them redirecting the hashing power to something else & to be fair that very well may have been the case
But as i also said in a post afew pages back the biggest issue here is the spectacularly poor communication..

Ive been mining now its open, here's some details

Pool - http://pool.etherzero.org/#/account/0x2b6e677fc4269a395cb5f4e801372a4648d4bffd

Payout on blockchain - http://explorer.etherzero.org/tx/0x584c20748e2a84ad950cc30bba89597dc151a955bcd79933b5a366e18e3f6b0b

oh oh and guess what Smiley .. i can see my coin on MeW aswell :0

i understand where your coming from as from the first lot of info and release's we got looked hella suss but c'mon man lets have a real conversation , read abit more and look into whats going on now!

Selling 5 ETZ (http://explorer.etherzero.org/addr/0xf12782364f269330d8aabf620d1add8b76696ef0)
for 0.3 ETH , PM me if interested. The price is lower than Yobit, since Yobit will not let me transfer ETZ to the exchange.

It is because that your hashrate is too low... Other people's hashrate is pretty high...

oh here you are @befree8 one of the ppl who advertise for this scam, guys pls answer me this does any of you heard from the actuall dev team of this scam or even know who they are?!
did any of you wonder why befree8 seems to be the only source of info?!
did any of you who mine this coin actually checked ip address of the pool they suppose to be mining etz on?!
guys this is a scammmmmmm
they saying its a hard fork from eth, while vitailk himself made it clear tht there is no hard fork of the eth as of yet.
those ppl trying to con you out of your eth and hashing power
again here is what myetherwallet had to say about this scam:

"After looking into EthZero, we have no clarity as to (1) what the code is (2) who created it (3) if it is properly licensed. Coupled w/ multiple .exe's that are malicious, we recommend NOT INSTALLING NOR USING ANYTHING RELATED TO ETHZERO AS IT PUTS YOUR SYSTEM & ETH AT RISK"

https://twitter.com/myetherwallet/status/954762712604528640

pls guys stop feeding those scammer your hasing power and you eth and by the way there will be no exchange supporting this scam only 1 exchange at the moment which is yobit, which by the way you can add any coin to manually and even tho they add it to their exchange, they wont trade it mean you holding a dead scam coin no matter how you look it?!
and @ befree8 you soon enough will pay a heafty price for advertising for a scam and as i told you befor what you doing is against the law and fall under the fraud act soon you will know what i mean you scumbag

After reading many pages of this thread I'm starting to get confused - red flags pointing at a scam or just FUD? Probably the best thing people should do is just to wait until the issue is 100% clear - anyway if it is a legit fork your coins are there forever for you to claim.

Greed has driven all this mess, so there's confusion everywhere. I'm not sure that the team (and I guess nobody knows who is in the team) will be able to clear it to the point that this fork could be treated seriously. Anyway, let's just wait how it's going to work out...

I’m fine with HODL, and was actually hoping to mine some extra ETZ.

But I think the difficulty is a bit high, it demands a loot of hashes to get the coins, so for me it looks like it’s more profitable to mine ETH and exchange them to ETZ later.

Believe this could be solved if there was a higher block reward in the beginning...

lol i guess you not tht much of a tech guy so i suggest to actually cheack the pool you mining on and if its really the so called etz, as i said befor check few post back and you will find thtminer discovered their hash power been redercted to other pool while the scammers getting the good coins and keeping it they give you etz for the other coins you actually mined.. lol i wonder why would they make you mine onther coin which they keep and give you their scam coin instead?!!
guys wake up and smell the coffe befor its too late!!
and again those scammer  DO NOT HAVE A WORKING BLOCK CHAIN.
you can hodl as much as you like for as long as you like,
why none of you ever wonder why the dev team of this scam never realy came out all what you guys going by so far is and advertise post and a realy bad made web site?!

here is the official myetherwallet statement about this scam

"After looking into EthZero, we have no clarity as to (1) what the code is (2) who created it (3) if it is properly licensed. Coupled w/ multiple .exe's that are malicious, we recommend NOT INSTALLING NOR USING ANYTHING RELATED TO ETHZERO AS IT PUTS YOUR SYSTEM & ETH AT RISK"
