Some are posting phishing website and are misleading some of the readers, number one rule never ever disclose your private key to anyone it was written before and it becomes a common knowledge and still some of you got their ETH stolen.

MEW specially their code seems to be very nasty one and I suggest people don't share your private to etherzero team. If they give token just wait before using it.

So how do you claim these. I originally sent eth to them. It was then sent back to me? Was that supposed to happen and then resend the ETH today with directions in the PDF to claim etz? You received your coins but have you been able to move them?
Now this is freaking hilarious. When developers said it would fork 1:1 ratio to have ETZ , it did mean someone would sent his/her ETH to redeem ETZ . As far as I know just hodl your ETH on your wallet that holds the private key then you will receive the same amount of ETZ as to what you have in ETH.

I can see ETZ balance in etherzero explorer, How can I withdraw it or send to yobit? There is no clear guide provided by devs. The pdf is also confusing.

Well, I guess that if the are adding a custom node to MEW this should be safe for people to redeem the ETZ, am I right? I don't know how exactly the node thing works, is there anyone with more technical skills who would answer?
I have technical skills and I can assure you this project is not trustworthy until they release any source code, their github is a joke I audited their code and basically they did nothing more than change name to the ethereum code, when you fork the code you need to specify a new network ID, they didn't share that network ID with the community so probably they didn't even do a real fork, we cannot verify because all they have working to support them is their obscure "etherzero.org" server, could be easily a fake rpc server generating blocks, do you understand the blockchain concepts? The most basic is the node concept, they didn't release any valid node address to work with. Behind the "etherzero.org" could be anything, virus, bot, proxy, whatever you can imagine, even propietary and centralized projects have more information about their technology or code to convince people to use their product.
So... my veredict?

To get ETZ free coins you need to have access to keys on MyEtherWallet, Jaxx or other wallets that support access to private keys. You can get your ETZ at http://Ether-Zero.net. Click the Get ETZ link. I already got my coins. Now 1 ETZ costs about $140.
This has been reported to be a scam. Someone allegegly has put there his private keys and all hit ETH has been stolen. Beware these scammers.

The forking event to this token was cancelled . Did it resume? I didn't know when if the creation of ETZ has occurred . Can somebody from the developer clarify on this because there is no update from the website except the original snapshot was cancelled.

just add custom network and search your address without priv key in MEW
and you don´t have to claim anything with your priv key
if you own eth you now own etz but it can only be withdrawn with priv key for address and withdraw can be made with every eth wallet wich supports "Supports EIP-155" just add custom node... I don´t know why everyone think they steal priv keys Oo there was a scam-site with fake wallet but not on etherzero.org ...

so someone has close to $100 mil ($100/coin as of this post) in ETZ? Are we to believe this is the team distributing the coins? If they show up in my MEW automatically then great, but still not giving my private key or downloading wallets to claim anything.

Edit: has anyone been able to sell their ETZ for ETH or BTC and the transfer it out of Yobit? The exchange itself has been investigated by the russian gov from what I read.
