I feel like an hostage on poloniex lately. It's a shame to see what poloniex is becoming. I hope it's just a bad times with all those newcommers, and massive adoption of last months, and that it will get resolved.

I got lucky and managed to get all my altcoin off of Poloniscam without any problems; a friend was not so lucky and has lost $1000's stuck in limbo for weeks now, with absolutely NO support NO replys NOTHING from Polo, not even an acknowledgement of any of his tickets/emails.

If I could use XMR as collateral to margin somewhere else I would in a heartbeat. I moved over to Kraken only to find out after I did that They only use USD to margin. Doh !

Hate Krakon's sites interface anyway, talk about a clusterfuck. At least Polo does have the easiest frontend I've ever used (when it fucking works!!!)

COIN DEVS: BEWARE OF SCAMMERS CLAIMING TO BE FROM POLONIEX. I (busoni/Tristan) am the only one who has the authority to list coins. Furthermore, I will never approach you and ask for a bounty.

Please note: if you need support, the fastest way to get it is to open a ticket at poloniex.freshdesk.com. Please include all relevant information, e.g. txid for deposits, exact amounts, etc. And please, don't open multiple tickets with the same problem, or send the same issue to several different places. It will only slow things down.



I would like to announce a new cryptocurrency exchange - Poloniex.com.

Another exchange? Why?

Several reasons. Here are the major ones.

First, none of the major exchanges are listing NXT. DGEX is great, but I have long wanted to see NXT on an exchange that has candlestick charts and executes trades at the best possible price. I also think NXT will benefit from being on more than one exchange, and listed alongside other, more well-known currency pairs.

Secondly, I want the fees to be fair, with no surprises. Trading fees are 0.2%, and they will never be raised. Having no fees is not sustainable and will ultimately result in corners being cut, and having no fees for a while to draw customers in and then suddenly imposing them feels like a bait-and-switch to me. Like Pete at CoinedUp, I find withdrawal fees to be outrageous, so Poloniex charges only the TX fee imposed by the client.

Lastly, it is a top priority to keep Poloniex running smoothly. We will not bite off more than we can chew. If traffic starts swamping the servers or we have any problems with the functionality of the exchange, we will address the problem before continuing to expand. We will be upfront about issues.

How can I trust you?

Trust has to be built. I will operate Poloniex with honesty and integrity and be as transparent as possible when answering your questions. I believe this is the only true way to earn trust.


I will monitor this thread and respond to your questions and feedback. If there is anything you have always wanted to see in an exchange, please let us know!

I'm starting to get real pissed off at my tickets being ignored as they have to do with the Margin system fucking me over and it has been continually costing me money.

Nope, they're not ignoring just some users, They're shit as hell. They're ignoring most of us...
Over 3 weeks now, and they didn't pay my money yet.

They are ignoring people from outside US who can't sue them for not sending their money. Like me. Almost a month processing withdraw, not sending my SC, though they verified my account to level 2.

Well ... i think the volume of your "activities" on polioniex does matter a lot in this fubar.....

It reminds me about some Banks we have over here in germany ... where you have "officially" different "entry-points" on the website for "Rich Customers" and "not so rich customers".

Yep, they're still ignoring my ticket. They could at least make some sort of announcement on the XCP situation if they were honest about things.

Speaking about trading - I can't trade when using Internet Explorer v11. It's been like this forever, I can go to any exchange market, but the orders would never load (stuck on 'loading') so can't place any orders.

I remember that polo had this issue once (or rather few times) when they were under DDoS, all we got is thst loading animation and never got placed, right? But the issue should be solved already, given that no one complaining. Does the issue also happen when you use firefox or chrome?

Correct, it's 'loading' forever.

I reckon nobody is complaining because no one is using IE. I use it only at work (have no choice). All works fine on other browsers.

Mhmm.... Internet Explorer aka IE is _really deprecated_ ... you could try at least a portable version of Chrome or Firefox.

No, I can still place trade if I go directly to the Polo site but gong there and placing a trade is time consuming for me. Sometimes I miss profitable trades before I could go through the whole lot of logging in and verifying email address as newly instructed by Polo. This whole thing isn't really how to ensure security. It frustrates traders efforts. I really wish I could get the tabtrader to work again. It makes trading enjoyable for me.

Yeah this seems to happen a lot, transactions that get into this weird error state. No other way then for Polo support to manually fix this, could take ages I'm afraid. Best way would be to open a support ticket I think and be very patient.

For this reason I'm not touching Polo again, took me a long time to withdraw Ethereum.. Always remember, coins on an exchange are not really yours because you don't own the wallet address / private keys.  You send your coins to them.    Sending coins to an exchange is like throwing cash into the mailbox of the guy next door.  You know your money is there and how much but you never know if you can get it back, you completely depend on the other side to help you out.

Like BTC-e,MtGox, Cryptsy, if something goes wrong you lose everything

dont deposit/withdraw alt from/to polo guys, if you dont want lost your money. only withdraw all your btc move to bittrex
