I just has added that in the front page.

2/2016

The faircoin dev team is already working hard with FairCoin 2.0. A more definitive whitepaper will be launched on march
and after that the focus will be in the programming and extend the funding for making it happen.

- Fairmarket Beta will be launched in march with full operability for buying/selling
Meanwhile the alpha testing version has been updated in http://market.fair.coop

-----------------

We will be updating more in that topics during the next week. Now the situation is still more working than communicating,
except for the Refugees Fund that is being promoted quite good. With  more than 1600 eur, already donated

Fair coin exists only in trade bittrex , I hope to add in other trade

I started minting few days ago and it minted fine for 2 days but since last 3 days it has not minted anything is this normal.
I am sure wallet is unlocked. ( It still shows in info minting Suspended due to locked wallet )

Is working fine for me. If is a proble, shoul be in your computer, you can test to solve making a reboot of the program.
Otherwise a key question is to how many nodes appears connected. Thats the second icon at below and right of the screen

it says 9 active nodes connected and on Minting Tab I can see 9 transactions with age 3-6.. I was just worried as on day 2 it minted around X and hasnt done any minting since then

Launched  the Crowdfunding Campaign to create a Refugees Fund    Cheesy
https://coopfunding.net/en/campaigns/refugees-fund-faircoop/

Against the inhumanity of governments, the solidarity of the people.

During 2015, more than 3,000 people drowned in the Mediterranean trying
to reach Europe safely, and of the nearly a million people got it, only
about 300 have the refugee status and was resettled. The rest are
wandering through different border countries in Europe, trying to get to
a safe place to escape the bombs, war and destruction, that largely the
European policies have sown in their countries of origin.

We are not only directly responsible for their situation, but in a
flagrant breach of international laws is even denied the most
fundamental right of every human being: the right to life, since EU are
condemning them to risk it not only crossing the sea to escape the wars,
but surviving the harsh conditions we impose on them when finally put
their feet on land, when the land is European, full of border walls,
barbed wire and intentions of confiscation of their few assets in
countries like Denmark propose to do.

Faced with this barbarity, citizens must say stop, can not become
accomplices by omission of policies and ideologies that have little to
do with the Europe of the Human Rights they have sold us nor with the
most elementary principles of humanity, especially when these policies
and ideologies have been the source of this humanitarian crisis. And we
are not referring only to the refugee crisis we are experiencing today,
also we include all those displaced by economic and environmental
reasons that barely survive without rights in our countries for decades.

Given this situation in FairCoop we don't stay quiet, we don't stay
silent. Now is the time for civil society to self organize through
direct action to support those in need. There is an urgent need to
provide appropriate humanitarian conditions and to help them organize
their lives in the long term in the new host(ile) countries.  The social
movements that practice solidarity from below, with very few resources,
in places like Lesbos, Athens and Thessalonika, are examples of projects
to support.

With this campaign with the first goal of 500.000 Faircoins, we want to create a fund focused on help autonomous and self-management projects to help create productive initiatives that meet their both material and immaterial daily necessities background.
This is why we need your help, supporting this initiative and demonstrating that when the system fails, it can and should be replaced by alternatives that will provide real and lasting solutions. We have the knowledge, the technology and the will to do it, we just need your
support. https://coopfunding.net/en/campaigns/refugees-fund-faircoop/

The dissolve of a rentable POS isn't something attracting investors or encurage someone to hold.

I also can't follow smartactions way of thinking that 80% is in faircoop related or other known hands is a positive signals for investors in the coin itself.
If he refers to potential investors into faircoop itself then yes maybe that's positive for them. For me it more rises some fear of a monopol.

And last which I already told as long as the oportunity to sell your investment is missing it is troubleseome for anyone outside faircoop business to consider it a safe investment.

thanks for your comments..
Only some reply about that part, which in part yourself are answering in your message.

One of the main weakness that we had since the beginning. is the unknown amount of free coins that people not involved or not supporting  faircoop plans had from the initial distribution.
So the  data of the 81% 19% what says as more important is that already at least 81% are
- coins bought from people because is supporting the project.
- coins from people that perhaps got free coins but after that has been active in faircoop & or that forum following the project.

So, that weakness is about time to dissapear, and we are evolving more and more in that sense. And this give confidence to new investors, specially who plans to make big investments and wants to know as much as possible.

Otherwise, to say that the more important group between the holders are faircoop members, has no relation with a monopoly situation, because that are multiple and individuals where everyone is free and full independent in their trades. The positive characteristic is that this people have a common goal, that have relation with supporting faircoin. Difficult to see that in this % in other coins.

Ah, and by the way, Faircoin 2 will go beyond POS and will deploy an innovative algorithm, so, this will became other reason to become interested.

Since cryptsy went rough and Bter too I don't see any exchange as something safe anymore too. Bittrex so far was trouble free. But that doesn't means it will continue like that. Another not so marginal danger.
It might be healthy to start thinking about a future that works without bittrex. I so hope we will see decentraliced exchanges soon.
It's what is really needed in crypto right now.

On the positive side. I see that something is going, there were buys, and that is good.

I have my faircoins and no intention to sell.

So I believe in that faircoop has value and has a future. I just have a hard time to estimate how safe it is and how far it can go.
Most concern I have with this coin is the sell safety as you can see from my posting.

Now you should know when the FairCoin distribution ended:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5761843

And you have to know that if I remember correctly you could collect 1000 fair coins per hour per IP in the distribution days.
600k right away is massive. And it was not in 1k trances.  There were some more strange 500k blocks movements in those early distribution days. I just followed a few of that top addresses.

Now the largest piece one gatherd through the token system in place I read was about 120k if I remember correctly and he did that with a script. (sort of cheating thought he spend the days writeing that script).
