What is the amount of faircoin that chip chap is looking to acquire?
There are not a fixed decition on it.
Is more about flows. Chip chap is pending to deploy a bunch of services for buying and selling faircoin, (like is doing with bitcoin) so it need holdings for providing the buyers.
Also, wants to support the volume in the exchange which has been one of the weaks of faircoin market until now

Crazzy to see the sell wall at 3893 got eaten. 
Crazzy day.
Can they maybe buy slow and healthy over time and not all in one day? If it rises too fast you will just start another cycle. PPl will see it and jump in and overdoo and you know what happens.
Anyway nice to see this buys after this long slow downward trend.

Today was not about rising fast, but to get a big amount of faircoin (mainly for the wall) for the chip chap holdings.
Not so easy to get this amounts on the market if not with the wall. And other wise I was unconfortable leaving people to sell so low
so, now is a more fair price
Still we need x3 to arrive to getfaircoin price level, and of course this will be step by step... Now lets see if appear more sellers...

Bitchain already did a first buying of actions from chip chap, 8% at 100.000 euros.
Chip chap, guys are pending of confirming the commitment of bitchain related other agreement. (monthly payment for salaries...)
before making their investment in faircoin.
That could happen around 1 of january.
so these recent movements are related to Chip Chap ?
The ones from today, are related. Is at least a good beginning...

The deadline for forking should be at most soon at may/june, So in the crypto timing not seems so near...
What is nearer is the results of the work we has been done, getting more visible

We are going to begin the development of faircoin 2, next february. We got funding for doing a team focused on that. @thokon00 will be the lead developer.

Of course. Thokon00 is the core developer of faircoin and will lead the development for faircoin2.
I will be working on the project management.
To make it clear all Faircoin will evolve to Faircoin 2.
Will there be a new hashing algorithm for Faircoin 2? The hashing algorithm changed once already, which was a giant shakeup for Faircoin. What new features will Faircoin 2 most probably have that Faircoin doesn't already have?
Yes will be a lot of changes, which you can see already in the white paper from may, but the final white paper is scheduled for february to get the final decitions.
The hashing alhorithm will be different, and is what we called Proof of Cooperation (POC). Nodes will cooperate for giving security to the transactions and the whole system

SSL certificates for https://getfaircoin.net/ are expired, i think that https://letsencrypt.org/ can ease your pain recently it came out from closed beta and it's free no more expense for certificates
but it needs to be renewed each 90 days
You can automate it via cron job
I've tested LertsCrypt and works great. No more expensive certificates. Now there is no excuse to add a security layer to a website. EFF did a great work.
