From what i understood is that its use is just to buy likes and shares to the photos being shared by users?

No one knows, ico has not even started yet. its status on ico-list says TBA.
Good to see they partner with steemit as i can see on the site. The team didn't let us peek to its platform yet, but i could assume this would seem like instagram? Grin
