We have done some testing on the new wallet update. Looks like it is all good to go. We will be releasing it tomorrow morning. (I guess it is later this morning for me). This will not be a mandatory update.

I've been impressed with all the recent updates and the current state of Firecoin. Great work everyone!

Not many coin wallets actively show stake weight. I was pleasantly surprised to see the wallet display it in the bottom right. Would anyone like to give a brief overview of stake weight, and how it works? Might be helpful for the community :-)

Until the supernode is added to the wallet's seed node in our upcoming wallet update, you can connect to it in the following way:

Add "addnode=NODE.FIRECOIN.TK" to your Firecoin.conf file and run as normal

I am running this as a free service to the Firecoin community and personally pay for the dedicated server it is on. Any donations are greatly appreciated

I just wanted to welcome virtualreality69 to the team. I wanted to let everyone know that we are glad to have such a great community. Many people have volunteered which is important because once the community starts to take ownership of the coin that is when we can really grow. Look at the biggest coins most of the original developers are not the main driving force behind the coin, it is the community. So keep up the great work and help in anyway you can.

Hey, yes so I setup the Flamethrower @ http://cryptocointools.com/faucets/firecoin/

But it is not fully functional yet. I tested with QT-wallet, and just finished compiling the daemon on my Linux server this morning. I should have it up sometime later today (depending on your timezone)

S3cr3t1 would be the best to talk to about upcoming wallet updates. He has been digging and hacking away at the source all this week. Try stopping by our IRC channel, as a lot of us are usually chatting away about stuff in there.

I dont know how they set it up or why its down, but it shouldn't take much time and we want to get it back online very soon (before the weekend?).

I'm not Tom unfortunately, but I believe the answer is yes. I think it's is more of a re-branding type thing, the network is still the same and no hard forks have occurred as of right now.
