She got completely sold out on AltQuick.com this week... Zero buyers.

Did something happen?

Wow, this coin is still alive. That's great to hear.

Does anybody know if Colored Coins was ever actually implemented on this coin? If so, is there still a way to move them? I'm interested to learn more about it, mainly just commenting here as a bookmark for future research, but if anybody knows the answer please let me know!

Now, all above block explorers are down and Freiexchange told me that we need a working block explorer to stay listed there (trading is halted currently) and I guess other exchanges will have similar concerns soon.

That's stupid.

There isn't a need for a blockchain explorer IMO.  Those are just for convenience.  People/exchanges can use the wallet directly to monitor transactions.

We (AltQuick.com) don't give two shits about a public explorer, and our FLO exchange will remain operating as usual.

That's great to hear that FLO will stay listed on AltQuick, greatly appreciated.
Though I understand the requirement from (some) exchanges, it last but not least shows some community commitment to a coin which apparently FLO is lacking right now.

Also, personally I miss the ability to link to stored txdata with a URL directly instead of digging this out with rpc commands.

It seems quite some people have notarized data in the FLO blockchain and it is surprising that none of them is interested in a public block explorer.

At the moment there seems to be no more block explorer working that allows to see the FLO data tx messages:

http://network.flo.cash/ : Connection refused
https://livenet.flocha.in/ : Cannot GET /
https://flo.tokenview.com/en/: Works, but doesn't show FLO data

Are there any plans to get one of the BEs that show FLO data back online?

TIA

I am willing to operate one, but due to the size of the VPS required I would need some donations from the community as I can't afford this currently from my own pocket, or ideally a single sponsorship that gets a clickable bannner at the bottom of every page in turn for covering the VPS cost.

Is the explorer on Flo.Cash being maintained?

Any idea who was doing that? Joey?

Few sellers today it seems, but it takes buyers for there to be sellers as well!

FreeBitcoins.com has re-added Florincoin to all of our services and we will likely add your PIN token as well.

Sorry about the confusion and my bad.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood as well.

We will likely add FLO back.  I misinterpreted this, my fault.

My making sense of the rebranding.

Keep FLO as FLO, change PIN to the wrapped project.

1. Make PIN equity in the PIN project.  Which would provide smart contract services.  But main focus on providing swapping service for wrapped tokens, and exchange/swap for 1:1 blockchain COINS.

2. this current PIN on ether, rename to FLO.w "wrapped"

3. There are 10s-100s of other coins that would use PIN project provide wrap/swap solutions.

The best way to summarize the above post is that FLO still exists and you can think of PIN as wrapped FLO on other chains. Similar to WBTC that exists on other chains.

I feel this drains the entire project of what I thought was cool about it in the first place.  I wish y'all nothing but the best though...
I would like to better understand how adding additional features "drains" existing features. Could you explain your reasoning?

For example: wrapped bitcoin didn't fundamentally change BTC, BTC still exists, and is the root of all trades of its derivatives. If wrapped BTC fails, it doesn't affect bitcoin at all, it's an optional extension of bitcoin and allows others to speculate on its price

What will happen with the transactions messages in the current blockchain?
Nothing is changing on the original FLO client, all transaction messages still exist, and will be supported as long as the software exists

I aint gots the time to figure out what exactly is happening.  But do clarify, anyone in the know.

In principle.
Amending anything regarding the classic blockchains, from brand or specs, is terminal.

It demonstrates,  not decentralized.
Nothing has changed with the original FLO client, you can choose to use it and we will continue to support it, improve it, and maintain it. It's still as decentralized as it always was (and probably more if we gain new users/adoption from these auxiliary activities)

Happy to answer any and all questions regarding the wrapped FLO (PIN) coins that exist or what our plans are for the FLO-qt client that is still being mined and supported by scrypt PoW
