Don't let the price fool you. There is more value in this project than current price against Bitcoin. Alexandria and Florin are loVers.

Hey,
I'm maintaining Cryptocoins – the most complete cryptocurrency icon pack; just released a new update including Florin!
If you like the work, tip me crypto and support further development:
  • FLO: FM4SGKBPCEoPpB8s3jbMRYWARY4UsRVur8
Quick bump for AllienWorks - I sent you some coins for the awesome SVG icons. Maybe you can buy some music on Alexandria with them soon Wink

Speaking of Alexandria, I will be attending the BitDevsNYC meetup tomorrow and presenting Florincoin & Alexandria there. It should also be live streaming via YouTube or Periscope, links will be posted on twitter and also posted here before going live.

There are no plans currently to change the PoW or merge with another coin.

Is there other options in supporting a full node like a simple step by step setup on a raspberrypi like bitcoin etc.
Yes, actually just last week ben-btc released instructions on how to set up a full node on any VPS with a single command. The script runs an automated setup of a node. I'm sure the script would work just as well on a personal computer of any kind. Here's a link to the instruction thread on reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/florincoin/comments/6c642o/setup_a_full_florincoin_node_on_a_5_ubuntu_vps/

Any VPS but must be running Ubuntu, 16.04 recommended Wink

blocks seem to have caught up too.
Difficulty seems to have stabilized around ~430 now which is fine as long as mining is consistent on the network. Here's the latest block.

Do you think this could work with florincoin changes http://raspnode.com/diyLitecoin.html
I can't think of any reason Florincoin wouldn't run on this device considering the FLO blockchain is quite small at the moment and the codebase is almost exactly the same as LTC. The only difference is this guide is quite old. I would follow the instructions on our github page here: https://github.com/florincoin/florincoin/blob/master/doc/build-unix.md and also make sure you use the correct FLO port numbers according to your florincoin.conf configuration settings (not the LTC port numbers) if port forwarding is necessary.

Had a look on bittrex as I was going to send some coins there and noticed it's behind a little on block update. Probably related to above issue so I will wait until the blocks update as it's been around 10 hours or so since the last block 2171979.
Looks like the difficulty is also extremely high compared to the hashrate. More miners on the chain would help in these situations.

Will florincoin look to change to auxpow? Perhaps help with this as correct me if I'm wrong I believe Devon mentioned a while back there were plans to merge mine with litecoin?

@Everyone reading this thread:

Please add the following to your florincoin.conf file
Code:
addnode=193.70.122.58
addnode=nyc2.enterthe[Suspicious link removed]
addnode=sf1.enterthe[Suspicious link removed]
addnode=am2.enterthe[Suspicious link removed]
addnode=sgp.enterthe[Suspicious link removed]
addnode=ind.enterthe[Suspicious link removed]
addnode=de.enterthe[Suspicious link removed]

These nodes were added around the world recently by ben-btc using his full-node automatic setup script.

Recently a new user had an issue connecting to nodes on our network. The issue was solved by adding these nodes to their florincoin.conf file. Network connectivity problems can be mitigated by ensuring all nodes connect to known block sources. Please remember to update your config files before starting up Florincoin for the first time.

Today I was working on updating the Publisher to a bit more User Friendly UI. While you may not be able to glean much information from the image, I hope you all will like it Smiley

You should hopefully see these changes go live to https://alexandria.io/publisher/ in around a week or so, depending on the amount of time it takes to implement this design  Cheesy

The Flo website looks deserted--
Yeah, we think so too.

Website update
As a result, the Florincoin team recently teamed up with a graphic designer who will be working with us to create a brand new website!  Grin

Pinguino Kolb will be designing our new website starting this week. This brings us one step closer to completing the upgrade of core FLO infrastructure.
