Ah, I remember when there were only a few people in the GEMZ TrollBox

Now it's filled with a bunch of new fresh trolls.
Loving GEMS, and it's devs. Believe me they're sexy.

Something I was wondering is IF you have to tap on the link to get your daily 1 GEM, I assume so.

It made me wonder about the Airdrop and whether it is better to have to click to collect it. I can see both ways have benefits, I like the idea that people need to open the app and do something to get the gems, more interactive, forces people into the app, even an addictive element. But I also see that some might be annoyed if they don't receive Gems if they don't click to receive from say Airdrops and future advertising etc. But I guess if you want to reward actual usage then making it compulsory to daily receive coins if a great way to reward activity.

Whats great is it adds a layer to the addiction of messenger apps where people check to see who posted, i.e. people checking to get their Gemz. Its a massive plus in terms of making a compelling experience.

+ 1 coolness

do it. this will help all future plans/features for GETGEMS apps. this will also help ads in a HUGE way = more 'ad viewing time' for ads. Afterall, the ads we choose are the ones we are interested in. yes...many of us would love it to be automated instead of having to do it once/day everyday to collect the airdrop. but hey, if mobile app games like Tap Titans has done it and no one has complained about it, do it then. i mean...free GEMZ for just logging in. tap tap tap and free GEMZ! thats way faster and awesome than some Login Rewards for some MMO games.

Some questions for Daniel:
1. How is Gems going to handle price fluctuations in the store? With the price of Gems right now the $10 card costs $16.
The price in Gems for the gift cards will change with the Gems price fluctuations.

Is this in the works or already implemented, cus the price as of now is fixed.

Question:

Are the GEMZ on my counterwallet the same as the ones in a GEMZ app wallet or should I transfer the GEMZ in my counterwallet to the app one?

I'm confused on where my GEMZ are actually stored.
If your Gems are in you counterwallet then they are only in your counterwallet. If you put Gems in the app then they are only in the app. Think of the app as cold storage, the only way someone can get your Gems is if they have your phone, then they will also need your passphrase and pin number (when you run the app it will ask for a pin and give you a passphrase, do not lose your passphrase!).

Will I get the mobile app advantages by using counterparty wallet on laptop ? Like free gems from airdrop, inviting new people etc ?
No, the Gems app and counterparty app are two different systems. There will be a desktop version of Gems but as far as I know there is no eta on it.

Really? I've seen conflicting reports on this. It would be good if it was answered definitively. Counterparty has the ability to pay dividends to addresses that hold an asset. So, if one of the rewards is for holding GEMs, then I don't see why holding them in a counterparty wallet would not be rewarded.

Well, then I need to wait till the desktop version is released. Can you please point me to any link where I can check the source code of the coin ?

just in case nobody knows what is going on - Telegram just announced that an ongoing DDoS is causing connection issues for users in India and South East Asia. they're hard at work fighting back. No wonder my chats kept loading forever. but the GEMZ part of the app like the wallet and store are working fine and are still instantly responsive.

you can find out more about what is happening on their Twitter - https://twitter.com/telegram

在中国 Getgems 是无法下载的,因为 google play 是被屏蔽的,我们需要有其它的下载方式。

Translation

Getgems in China can not be downloaded because google play is blocked , we need to have another way to download .

http://www.newzoo.com/free/rankings/top-10-android-app-stores-china/

Don't know how the process goes, but obviously you need to know Chinese or maybe a company in the west that helps in submitting western app to chinese app stores.

this can be tricky. because the getgems invitation feature requires the use of GooglePlay and iOS Store. Of course, they can manually do it themselves by manually downloading the vpk file to install and then telling their friends to make sure to fill in exactly who invited them.

i suggest for now the quickest solution would be to provide a download link for the app file for both Android and iOS. so that they can manually install it. just a temp solution.

You can see the Twitter followers going up because of the in app rewards, genius.

I'm not a Twitter user so I might of misunderstood how following works but after your comment I was curious about how many they were adding, so I took a screen shot, maybe about an hour or so ago. I looked back at the photo and it showed around 400 followers.....now it shows 700!

I think this app is slowley starting to snowball. I mentioned this app of a few forums and got like 500 views, people who normally wouldn't be into crypto, I think if people have forums they use for various reasons they should mention the app.

No the 700 are the pages GetGems is following, you should look at followers which were were 2870/80 and now 2910 so 30/40 new followers since the last update.

Ah ok, Cheers..
