Can someone tell me power consumption for r9 280x on stock voltage (1.2v) while mining Groestl?
I'm trying to figure if it's worth running at 1.2v and 7500kh/s or  at 1.05v and getting 6300kh/s

someone have the conf for 7950 and a r9 280x? now I have
7950 --> 4,6 Mh/s
280x --> 4,1 mh/s

is it strange?

Read the OP - page 1
I did. In fact I have a rate slower then 6mhs they wrote,
So, there is any that want to share the bat or conf file related to a 7950 and a r9 280x?

how does your .bat look like?

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer -k groestlcoin --difficulty-multiplier 0.00390625 -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u xxxxx -p xxxx -w 256 -I 20 -g 1 --gpu-engine 10?? --gpu-memclock 1500 --thread-concurrency 8192

after a lot of time and trying, this is my best conf with scrypt, I have stable:
r9 280x = 750 kh/s
7950 = 550 kh/s

Im not an expert:

I use default gpu settings             Saphire R9 280x OC dual x

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer -k groestlcoin --difficulty-multiplier 0.00390625 -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u xxxxx -p xxxx -w 256 -I 20 -g 1            ONLY  in my .bat  : set gpu to default via  catalys control center

I get  366Mh/min   per Saphire R9 280x OC dual x  ----  scrypt: 42900Kh/min

Fake hash rate on grs.cryptohunger.com

We Need P2pool To overcome these stratum exploit ,

We also need pool operators to patch this exploit - it has been known for at least a year... https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=4002.0

Legit miners should get out of that pool.

On the bright side - one of the two fake miner is donating to the pool  Undecided

I believe that my pool is patched against this exploit. At least I don't see any suspicious miners and actual number of blocks is approximately equal to calculated. This used to be 3.7X more when I contacted OCMiner about the exploit.

If you are worried - try mining on NOMP pool (groestlcoin.biz), it is using a brand new stratum which doesn't have this problem.

It is kind of easy to check.  The top two guys each have about 15% of the hashrate of your pool.  They should find 15% of the blocks.  Over the last 20 blocks, they found 6 blocks and 3 blocks respectively.  6/20 = 30%,  3/20 = 15%.  It matches, therefore, they seem legit.

Yes, I do this check all the time. But what if high hashers are legit and some minor miners are sending fake shares? Or if somebody has 2 rigs sending normal shares and 5 rigs sending fake shares? In such case it'll just look as very unlucky miner.

So this worries me a bit. Does anyone know where to get this "fake share" miner code to verify that it doesn't work with our pools?

If you are on MPOS pool, then you can check "blocks statistics" and it'll show you some info like this:

As you can see, it is 5% above expected value. That's ok, I believe fluctuations like that a normal. But I'll make sure to keep an eye on this to make sure it does not grow.

For reference, the compromised pool had 200% all time average and 370% 7 day average.

What is a "fake hash"?

Have you been getting "share below target" messages?

Should now be fixed. Please double check.

BTCCryptohunger.com will be disconnected for approximately 30 minutes today for some reconfiguration due to high load.
Please make sure you have back up servers set up!

For testing, I turned the GPUs and some other background stuff off, and got as high as 2918kh/s from my i7-4770K (stock) with latest YAM. Thats of course awesome but it did make the computer completely non-resposive. Usually I dont run it -t 8 because of that, but its a powerful miner indeed Smiley

very nice! according to this Intel spec this pulls a max of 84w (TDP)
http://ark.intel.com/products/75123

so thats 2918kh @84w!

this is close to parity with GPU in terns of power efficiency (1.5x-2x)

AES acceleration FTW!!!

 Cool

Even more impressing IMHO: As of now I'm getting 2375kh/s with only five threads - thats a fricking 475 per thread, while running four 750ti at the same time Smiley

edit: 54W for the CPU, btw

WHOA! that's 2375kh @54w!!!!

thanks very much for the feedback. perhaps you could add the numbers to the list?

REAP WHAT YOU SOW I'm a big fish
To the best of my knowledge these syncing issues should have been resolved with new wallet releases. Please re-download your wallets before attempting to edit conf files.

Latest wallets are here:
http://www.groestlcoin.org/downloads/

cheers!

Not on win32 at least. Wasn't synching at all. but finally synched when I added quoted nodes.
