I'll wait awhile to play I think, until it calms down a little bit. I made a character, and instantly died. Your character (or atleast mine did) spawns at the very lower right hand corner of the map.
That's because you have to leave spawn area within 30 blocks of spawning.

when i used scrypt i all got rejects, no sha256, no rejects, but no found blocks yet
