I'm currently mining LUXCoin and get around 4 coins a week. If I switch to IC, I would like to get at least close to that given that their current values are not so different. I would prefer to stock up on IC but it has to make economic sense.

You can try to get on video cards, but the ASIC on this algorithm are unrivaled. You will get very few coins. Read the branches for beginners.

Ok, thanks, I guess I'll just stick with LUXCoin for now. IC is reserved for the rich miners I guess.

Algo is scrypt and there lots of Asics mining. If i were you I used whattomine.com to select profitable coin to mining and sold them to buy ignition coin.
