The protection provided by BitFence will be able to block high risk hosts, dangerous payloads and high risk IP addresses. Getting to know the features bitfence offers makes me feel safe already.
Those features indeed makes you feel save and i think that this is why this project will succeed for sure. If they can actually manage to decrease the amount of hacking by their features then everyone should need it.Once the hackers IP is traced it can be blocked immediately. But BitFence will only block IP or it will be able to trace hackers/person also?
Tracing is a bit harder as hackers could be connecting through a vpn and that would mean tracing back wouldn’t lead you back to the actual hacking just an unsuspecting vpn provider, or maybe their tunneled through a hacked persons computer and then your just leading to an innocent person

Bitfence will collect data from miners, analyze it on BitFence server and distribute the results immediately. Such projects should be supported because at the end of the day you will be the winner and not the hacker.
You are right it is going to be difficult for hacker's to win on this one.. But i have a question who and were are the results going to be released to.
I see that bitfence is providing a basic package for miners is that right? Will that be provided with your mobile mining app in the future?
This project could potentially use blockchain to help clean up the internet.. pretty cool
Of course mate, you can say that again. Bitfence is bad news for hackers, it numbers their hacking days in low digits. Hehe it is a wise idea, I think people are a bit overzealous in their expectations, they have the ability to have a really strong product platform and really offer something different to the security landscape. But then again they have strong competition so you have to be realisitic in what you expect.
The fact is we don't expect them to hit top gear from the very beginning of the project. There will surely be some periods of trials and periods of beta updates. Still the fact remains the more time spent on this project development, the better it becomes

Yeap, Offering two sources of revenue for BitFence. One is different levels of subscription service and second is with BitFence hardware sales. The hardware available for purchase will include pre-configured routers and pre-installed mining software.
That's pretty nice, they can also look into the creation of their very own hardware crypto storage device in the future, i love the diversification aspect of the project, is a wise thing to do, so they tend to generate income from both sides and a good review of their hardware will lead to increase sales that will invariably give an increased value to the project

It's not going to be like conventional mining, I think most people will rarely, if ever see a reward if they have them at home, I think people will need to be smart and take them with them to places like hotels and coffee shops, places with open public WIFI that is likely to be targeted.

This project will be needed for sure in the future and also right now. More and more hackers are active nowadays because of the crypo growing in popularity.Yeah everyone is in a get rich scheme where and some people took theirs too extreme that they decided to take from hardworking individuals who were not security conscious and fell right in the trap of hacker's..
Yes, is really an unpleasant thing and my wish is for this project to become a reality and help stamp out this disease called hacking out of the global system and create that feeling of safety once you go online, every click, every login that we engage everyday is a potential opportunity for a hacker to strike, we all just need to be careful
Lol they will never give up, does security cameras and police stop bank robbers? Nope. Look at the current security solutions, there are very effective enterprise level products that stop external threats, but did you see in the news that a Las Vegas casino was hacked via a smart thermostat in a fish tank? We need to be realistic, this is going to help in the fight again hackers, the honeypot will finger print and send out to the rest of the network, and their routers will block any further attacks, but it isn't going to 'make them give up'. Maybe Bitfence should also do an educational series on cyber security in companies, like I said in a previous post, you can have all the security in the world, but if someone plugs in a USB, or gets tailgated into the office etc it's over.
I do agree with you, there will always be hackers but the need to be proactive is needed to ensure some sort of security, actually when it comes to hacking, individuals need to be vigilant because no matter how technological advance your protection can be, we as individuals need to be careful with our way of lives, not to give hackers the avenue to perpetrate their act

The security industry has always been reactive and way far from proactive. Only when a damage happens that a treatment is released. I think this approach of mining for threats would minimize that gap drastically.
