What makes Boon Dollar different from USD?
Boon Dollars are created by a mechanism similar to convertible notes. Convertible notes are short-term debt instruments that can be converted to ownership at a rate determined in the future, typically during a future funding round. Once BOON has been purchased it should be converted into Boon Dollars (BD) to mitigate the impact of dilution over the longterm.
When the cryptocurrency is converted in Boon Dollars, which is pegged to USD. When the vendor completes the job, Boon Dollars will be converted into either USD or any cryptocurrency the vendor choose from.

Why exactly was Ethereum platform chosen as a basic one for making transactions??
we use ethereum blockchain for the first transaction, once the ethereum is in our platform, we use our blockchain.The advantage of using our own platform is that the slowness or whatever happens with ethereum blockchain will not effect our platform and people get their money

I haven't heard about this 'patent pending' anywhere else. Can you explain this concept?
