Epic just bought the eSports scene Smiley. We've known this but the last hp of PUBG and H1Z1 have dropped to zero. Fortnite *eliminated* PUBG & H1Z1 with a $100,000,000 impulse grenade  Grin."

You can drop 100 million towards tournaments for an early access game but can't finish developing the game or make save the world free. Hmm. Something doesn't seem right.

Hope they can find a way to make spectating easy, trying to keep up with pubg tournaments is a mess.

Wish they could team up with twitch and someway make it where the viewer can choose the player they spectate or something like that.

Really hoping Epic guys go the route of arena-based competitive PvP and not BR. Competitive is about letting skill take off a level playing ground, BR too many variables that don't allow it. Fort can be the Halo 2.0 in the 1v1/2v2/4v4 space.

No way it equals Halo in longetivity. Fortnite is dead in 2 years, and so is most of that genre.

If you think the BR genre is dying you’re crazy. Internet infrastructure has allowed 100-man PvP. If anything, it’ll continue to become more immersive and bigger as technology allows.

How can a game be competitive when it's luck based? Like, I get a white pistol but the guy who lands above me gets minis and 2 feet away a blue tac?

If it was luck based people like Ninja wouldn’t win as much as they do  Grin

And if it was pure skills he would have a 90%+ winrate which he doesnt have because the skill ceiling/gap of the game doesnt allow for it  Cheesy

So if I understood well this coin will help monetize tournaments and competitions for gamers in any game? If that so this is really great idea, finally gamers will have solid platform to compete and earn for a living from their skills. Looking forward to it  Roll Eyes

yep, that's right! thanks for your interest =)

As rumored. Big publishers are going to be leaving Steam. Look out for Ubisoft and Take-Two next.  Smiley
Why though? I wonder what they don't like in Steam?

that it's outdated as hell? That is locks your promotion to the store? That they own your audience? That they don't reply to emails  Angry

They still have one of the best refund service though. It makes you more comfortable with rush purchases.

I don't think I saw something similar at Ubisoft and I got a headache with Origin refund on newest MassEffect. Also they have one of the best sales and it's scheduled Smiley

Well, Origin also has a refund system, I've used it once, and it was straightforward. Same for http://Battle.net  (although I had to contact support).
