We have definitely attracted the attention of hackers and credit card fraudsters. We are seeing constant attempts to break into our site.

For now, our defenses are holding and should withstand the attacks. This is exactly why a web-based "wallet" is not the way to go. There are too many attack vectors through a website. The Javvy wallet will be far more secure (virtually impossible to compromise) than online crypto wallets and exchanges.

Are they still trying to get access?

It looks like the targeted, attempted hacks have subsided for now. However, we've been bombarded by fraudulent credit card orders. Fortunately, the fraud detection seems to be doing its job well. We have spoken to most individuals whose credit card orders were "quarantined", so we pushed those through. All other paid orders have also been caught up.

How do you detect fraudulent credit card orders? You just hold the funds for a few days until it can be confirmed?

Our first video was an interview with me, the CEO of Javvy. Now, here's one with Javvy's preeminent executive assistant, Katherine. Wink

Check out the video below to learn a bit about what Katherine does for Javvy and how we will be moving our offices to the Atlanta Tech Village...

For maximum safety, compare the ICO Crowdsale address on the website to THIS ACCOUNT (Javvy) announcement on ICO day (Nov 1st).

So what is it about Javvy that makes it more secure? It's still digital right? It just functions offline as an application, instead of in browser?

There are many aspects about the wallet tech that make it more secure. But, yes, being a non web-based application is the biggest step. There are already other crypto wallets that are not web-based, but there is much more to being secure than those wallets address. Also, the Javvy wallet will educate while providing options for 2-factor authentication (methods outside of mobile 2FA, for maximum security on mobile as well).

Our wallet also encrypts everything on the device (some popular crypto wallets do not), and malware/ransomware cannot bypass the 2FA. There are other security features as well, but we must keep some things under wraps, as we've already basically laid out most of our plans publicly. These have already been used by Coinbase, and others, as a template or guide on how to improve their offerings. So, some things we keep to ourselves and rely on users to review our profiles (background and expertise) to see that we are very qualified to deliver this much needed solution for crypto users everywhere.

Fortunately, some of the biggest benefits of the Javvy wallet are going to protected by patent.

Note: The smoke-and-mirrors part of ICOs is that very few ICOs really spell out what they are doing on the micro level. They just claim they will address a need, in a market with huge potential, and then they ask for trust (even if their backgrounds are not related). However, nearly all successful ICOs already have massive funding lined up (at huge discounts for their "friends"), generate buzz around the ICO, and then hope that some additional people buy in (where the later users [the crowd] pay significant premium). With Javvy, we are doing it all the hard way. We worked on detailed documentation, patent filings, product development BEFORE outside funding, extremely expensive and detailed financials/projections, and working diligently to earn the crypto community's trust. We believe that THIS is the way it should be and that everyone will appreciate our honesty, integrity, and transparency.

Hello crypto-savvy people!

As we all in this thread predicted, it seems that China will allow crypto/Bitcoin very soon, likely because the Chinese government is backing the new Chinese exchange.

"Could the Major Chinese Bitcoin Market Return Soon – Looks Positive" article on EthereumWorldNews

Thoughts?

I think it's great, and just about what I assumed.

As long as they don't use it as a tool for more FUD...

This must be scary, hopefully your security team is up to snuff and can keep them at bay.

No way in hell this passes in the current political climate. The entire government is republican, aren't they supposed to be for a less intrusive federal government?

You still actually believe the GOP is concentrated on small government? That goes against their own interest, which is the core of all political parties nowadays.

I have to agree with you here. The fact is, the banking industry is the most powerful industry in the US, and they use that power to persuade politicians through lobbying. The crypto industry is directly competing with traditional banking. So what would you do in their shoes? I'd try to kill crypto where it stood, which is exactly what they're trying to do.

Agreed. I would go so far as to say that the banking industry controls everything, globally, including the governments. That is my "opinion", of course, but it's tough to ignore, when you dig deep and look at all the signs. As mentioned in these earlier replies, cryptocurrency forces all parties (democrat, republican, communist, marxist, or any ruling body) to see that their grasp on the people is at risk. They would have us believe that crypto leads to criminal activity and chaos, but inquiring minds know better. Javvy intends to build "the people's wallet" and help to bring true freedom to the people.

So Javvy has to earn the trust of the people to gain traction, and then we are confident that the VCs will want to hedge their bets and bank on Javvy, because Javvy IS the way to the future of finance. We have the plan, the patents, and we have the right people. Existing exchanges will either work with us or be replaced by us.

If only we could pull everyone together in this field and do a little lobbying of our own.

Exactly my thoughts as well. It must be part of our budget to spend on lobbying, because we cannot trust those who whisper into the ears of politicians to have our best interests in mind (quite the opposite, really).

The sad part about all of these issues with the US, is that it would be so simple to fix in my opinion. Just take away lobbying, campaign contributions, etc. Take their money, and what incentive do they have to work against the interests of the people?

Hello all,

All successful credit card purchases of tokens, so far, appear to have been legitimate. However, due to the uptick in attempted fraudulent charges; we are going to hold new orders, using credit cards, for up to 3 days. Just FYI. Please know that legitimate buyers will receive their tokens, at the guaranteed rate, at the time of order. Thank you for your understanding.

That's not a bad idea actually. It would still be like David and Goliath I feel like though.
