Orca Alliance is a really promising project. As it should be important for the cryptospace to show commitment for a regulatory framework for the cryptospace towards the regulators and institutional bodies, we should value this project high as they are trying to take care of this honorable task.
Last G20 meetup decided to wait with the regulations until October. The thing is with crypto regulation must be either global or it won't work. At least that's my opinion.
However on the banking side, we already have PSD2 in Europe, other countries planning to adopt similar legislature as well if all goes well in world's oldest continent.

Thanks, we also think it's good timing to build an Open Banking platform and merge it with cryptocurrencies and decentralized services. There are so many combinations to innovate.

Have read couple of last updates from social media regarding cold storage which will be provided with maximum benefits using ORCA in future. Also excited about the starting date for public crowdfunding campaign in first week of August. Number of people those already passed KYC is high and shows the the interest of masses in this project.

They have explained why they went for ERC 777 standard tokens because these are more efficient and support more conveniently industrial level's transactions. While ERC20 can be considered early or basic versions of smart contracts. As you said problem is whether existed exchanges are ready to integrate this new type of token's protocol or not. You can not go out of the way without having supportive infrastructure.
