If the skiller is selling makeup tips, for example, don't you think that camera quality of the device plays a big role in the outcome?
How is this regulated?

Like lighting and shit?
I guess foir this particular skill could be a problem

They could go around it by talking in detail about what's being applied and how. Do you think there could be a lot of situations where camera quality could play a factor in the outcome?

Most of new smartphones has a pretty good camera.

I agree, even the low-end phones of today have decent camera quality.

But basically for only a few uses you would really need a good camera.

True, and they even said that you will have like first minute for free,so if you are not satisfied with something like camera quality, you can just end the call without any cost.

The Skiller can decide whether he wants to give up to 5 minutes free. Its good in order to check if they match. And in case that the 5 minutes free was enough for the whole service the user can tip the Skiller and everyone will be happy  Grin

Thats a good idea,to have some time for free so you can check if everything is ok.

Yeah, like some buffer zone to make up your mind.

Yep,thats great thing,so if i can see in first minute that Skiller is rude/incompetent or whatever,i can just end it.

I don't think that's enough time to decide if someone is incompetent or not :/ And sometimes it may take for your problem to be solved less than the duration of the free trial. Then what?

Of course you can't know if someone is truly competent or not, but at least you have  a bit of time for first impression. Better that than nothing I guess.

Something i was wondering, how do you think people are willing to "pay" for knowledge whilst there is free knowledge on google and youtube? 🙂

Great question -
You can scroll the web for hours sometimes only needing 1 thing.
Every google search for a pasta recipe brings up 1M of results. So many are completely irrelevant.
And in many things that you do, you can use a personal attention. For example opening a new Qtum wallet - can be a little bit frightening. so a Skiller, that dominate this space, give you a personal attention, in a video call, will be super important and helpful.

In our Apple case study the demand for Skillers was huge!

Do you think the income from this app will be enough to be a day job for a skiller?

Depends on how good the skiller is.

Yeah, greater the skill greater the profit I suppose. But it also depends about the general need for a certain skill.

Of course, but in genral i dont think this is usposed to be real job.More like some way to get extra money.

I figured the same as you - this is best for those DIY skills. Like  how to macrame or make your own wooden shelf.

Yes and more daily things like how to cook, where to eat, how to open new Qtum wallet .... etc ..

Many uses for such app - examples like make your own beer in your cellar Cheesy

Nice ! Liked this idea !

Will it be possible to send additional documents/info via the app? For example after a successful call to send some document related to the call?

I don't really get it, why would you need to send some documents to the Skiller after the call? I'm not sure that Vanywhere aims at such serious stuff that you will have to send some documents to Skiller.
I might be wrong though..

It could be of some use if the problem isn't solved but the skiller is willing to look at some additional info and then get back to you (after your request that is).

Well this would be more personal, where Skiller would contact directly with you.

And dont forget this will be 2 way communication, and that cant be compared to free YT videos.

Ye, there is interaction which you can't get by pre-recorded videos.

Yeah, this thing is on completely different level than from YouTube videos.

Do you already have some skillers listed?
IT would look bad if the app was completely empty
