Sadly, that's true 
I was in contact with the lead manager Sascha yesterday and he didn't say anything about giving up on this project. I found out about it only few hours ago when I read this article written by one of the core members. I wasn't that much involved in the project (I just managed this forum thread) but I'm still sad because I really believed that this project can be a real success. I guess it was just bad timing.

For those who haven't heard, cryptohunt has been declared bankrupt. Sascha absconded, leaving debts behind.
The CryptoHunt ICO didn't reach the soft cap. Due to limitations on Ethereum transactions and a preference for a pull over a push model (i.e. it's more secure to have people request their own refund than to try forcing a refund by sending to everyone), you need to manually activate a refund for your address.
There is still the other gps based token platform live and running. Https://www.sht.watch
