Gambling has always been an important part of human culture, long before written history began. The earliest recorded evidence of gambling dates back to ancient China over 4,300 years ago. It wasn’t just the Chinese who were gamblers either, the people of many of the great ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians and the Greeks, are also known to have enjoyed a bet or two. Today, gambling is more popular than ever and has become the preferred pastime for many a thrill-seeker and risk taker.
Although the Internet has opened the door to a new world of opportunity and possibility, some problems have remained with gambling from its inception to the present day; cheating and manipulation still cast a shadow over the industry. The suspicion even exists that online gambling has made the problem worse. Since casinos are closed platforms the players have no chance to verify the fairness of the games. This gives the house the potential to manipulate funds movement and the random number generators.
This is an issue which persists in many different casinos, poker rooms and bookies. Until recently there was no alternative to these, but the advent of bitcoin and blockchain technology has changed that.
Fatum is an online platform which allows like minded players to join and compete against each other in games of strategy and chance. It combines the best elements of blockchain, cryptography and gambling to create a truly fair and transparent system. Fatum employs a different business model to online casinos, which win when you lose and lose when you win. Fatum works differently. We take a small fee from every game, which in the poker world is called a rake. Due to our fee structure, we’re a disinterested party as to who wins or loses, although we do hope you win! Online casinos are in the business of competing against and beating the players, while our business is about helping players to connect and have a good time.
The main advantage of blockchain and peer-to-peer currencies such as bitcoin, litecoin and others is that there is no need for trust between parties. Unlike banks and other centralized systems, blockchain technology allows us to make transfers between users without third party support. In other words, your funds are kept safe and interacting with other members of the network can be achieved without trust.
Cryptography solves all issues with trust and network functionality. Blockchain is an absolutely transparent decentralized network, which means there is no way to control it or to manipulate it. Blockchain also supports smart contracts which allows credible transactions or other implemented actions to be conducted without third parties.
The gambling industry is one area where the advantages of blockchain and transparency solutions must be integrated. The benefits of blockchain - decentralization, transparency, fair control, RNG verification and low transaction costs are all required for gambling. That is why these benefits should be brought into the gambling industry.
Just imagine a decentralized and transparent robot, whom mixes a deck of cards and distributes them to players, with no possibility of cheating or manipulation. This may sound like futuristic science fiction. With Fatum, it’s now on our doorstep.
Fatum is a gaming project built on advanced blockchain and cryptography technologies. Fatum uses all of the advantages of cryptography and decentralization, making cheating technically and verifiably impossible. Fatum offers the latest forms of these technologies implemented into an online gaming and gambling platform․
Fatum solves all issues of trust through the innovative use of blockchain technology, its own cryptocurrency RNG Coin and ethereum smart contracts. With functioning Fatum infrastructure based on RNG Coin and developed Dapps such as “Shared secret” we are using the latest advantages of cryptography to improve public, transparent fairness control and verifications. To guarantee use of unpredictable random numbers and fairness control, we‘ve created RNG Coin, solving vital issues with cryptography, randomization and decentralization. Fatum is a unique platform, providing transparency and a secure place for gaming.
All users have access to a platform that allows ordinary users to use a advantages of cryptography and decentralization without any prior knowledge in this area. The intuitive interface allows anyone to verify RNG without any kind of technical education or development knowledge. It’s simple, safe and transparent.
Fatum was founded in 2017 and have been actively developing their platform since then. Fatum has already developed several working dapps based on our own cryptocurrency and unique infrastructure. Unlike our competitors, we already have a number of functioning games, which demonstrates our concept and features integration. All of the games are based on blockchain technology, using encryption and and our unique dapps.
We are creating a platform where cheating is technically impossible. We believe that blockchain and decentralization will change the gambling world forever and will make gambling fair and transparent. As a pioneer in the crypto gambling industry, we believe that Fatum will change the gambling universe.

Throughout history, gambling has been associated with cheating and manipulation. With the advent of online casinos, nothing has changed. Casino houses have always been closed platforms, where players don’t have a chance to publicly verify movement of funds and random number verification. Let’s take a look at the main problems of modern online gambling.
Random Number Generation
Gambling houses use certified random number generators from various providers. How does it work? The providers transmit random numbers using different software, hardware, or API technology solutions. Once each month or quarter, regulators perform validation checks on the gambling establishment’s use of these random numbers. In most cases the validation is formal. We have no choice but to trust the gambling establishment, believing it will conduct operations honestly. So fairness control is nearly impossible in such closed platforms.
Manipulation
Let’s consider gaming establishments such as poker rooms or backgammon sites. These types of gambling houses earn a commission from each game session. Theoretically, they have no interest in the outcome of each participant. Consequently, we wouldn’t expect this type of gambling institution to be interested in manipulating the numbers. We might assume they would serve the players fairly. But is this really the case?
For many years there’s been disparaging rumors regarding poker rooms among amateur and professional poker players. It’s believed that Pokerstars and other famous poker rooms manipulate the so-called random numbers, adjusting the decks of cards in a way that players are often dealt similar card sets. Or they get strong hands at the right frequency, stretching the gameplay as long as they can, causing players to play as many hands as possible in order to gain as much commission as possible.
In the case of backgammon, the situation is catastrophic. For example, the large backgammon network, Play365, has almost entirely undermined trust in the industry. Almost all players on this platform came to the same conclusion. That Play365 had its own bots. As soon as a player started a game with one of the bots, it was impossible to win because the dice always fell in favor of Play365.
Cheating
Cheating is a common problem among online casinos/betting sites and can take many forms. Quite often players face a problem when casinos or betting companies refuse to pay out large winnings.
There are cases of injustice where the payment process has taken months, with platforms requesting different proofs of identity verification. There are some cases where players’ accounts were even closed by the platform and further payment questions were ignored. The chances of receiving one’s winnings from the gambling establishment are next to nil, and legal help is so costly, that the thought of pursuing justice may be too difficult for most. Winners are powerless and forced to accept their loss.
In 2007 there were accounts in Absolute Poker which were allowed to make use of super user rights to see the cards of their competitors. Soon after this scandal, another followed on the friendly site Ultimate Bet. The essence of the deception was similar. Individual players had super user rights and were easily able to read their opponents cards. It is estimated that people lost approximately $20 million due to these injustices. These are just a few instances of scandalous stories in the gaming industry.
Hacking
Centralized gambling sites are also vulnerable to hacks. In February 2011, an IT expert pleaded guilty to hacking into the American Poker Company and stealing over 400 billion chips, worth over 7.5 million pounds.
There have been fairly recent instances of Odlander Spyware allowing people on Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker to see their opponents’ hands and adjust their plays accordingly. Unfortunate software flaws were discovered in the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet websites, where hackers were able to gain access to users’ accounts and see all their cards.
Long Payouts And High Fees
Online gambling houses have problems with long payouts, not only because of their own requirements, but also due to slow processing of payments by banks and payment systems. For representatives of some countries, replenishment of deposits and withdrawal of funds are associated with great difficulties and high commissions.
Transparency
The CEO of Full Tilt Poker was caught red handed conducting a massive Ponzi scheme which siphoned $430 million of their players’ money, leaving only $6 million available for withdrawal. Hundreds of millions of dollars were stolen from gamblers and given to the board members and owners of Full Tilt Poker. In the closed systems of modern casinos and poker rooms, the players don’t have a chance to publicly control the movement of funds.
As seen above, it can often be incredibly frustrating to be taken advantage of and deceived. The Fatum platform looks to even the playing field, providing users with an experience that should be more fair, utilizing the strengths of blockchain technology to provide a fresh spin on a classic activity. We’ve created a gambling platform that is fair, transparent, decentralized, and unique among all competitors.
Random Number Generation
The Fatum project uses random number generation based on the RNG Coin default and integrated algorithms. Absolutely all our methods are open-source and reliable.
Manipulations
In the Fatum project, the architecture and algorithms for mixing random numbers are created in a way that makes it technically impossible to manipulate the random numbers. Before each gaming session, random numbers are registered and encrypted on the RNG Coin blockchain. They become open and accessible for verification after the end of the game. This makes it easy for anyone to verify randomness of the numbers.
Cheating
Fatum is a platform based on blockchain technology, entirely transparent and accessible to anyone for public verification. Smart contracts provide all players with instant payments, irrespective of the amount of their winnings or their location.
Hacking
We comply with high security requirements to protect our users. Cryptocurrency is stored in cold storage, with multisignature wallets, which makes the platform safe and hack resistant.
Long Payouts
Cryptocurrency usage is favorable, with instant payouts and very low commissions. In contrast to the standard banking system, cryptocurrencies have no boundaries or limitations. When playing on smart contracts, payments take place almost instantly, which is a unique feature of our gaming platform.
Transparency
Fatum is a platform based on robust, immutable blockchain technology, entirely transparent and accessible to anyone for public and private verification.
Founded in 2017 by a group of enthusiasts united around the common idea of cryptography and decentralization, we started researching and developing new types of secure encryption technology. The idea of RNG Coin evolved from our belief in the need for secure Random Numbers Generation to underpin a host of everyday uses.
Based on Proof-of-Work, RNG Coin is a mineable coin. Our philosophies are based on Satoshi Nakamoto's ideas of decentralization and cryptography - building on them to develop a new type of coin with improved cryptography and advanced functionality.
We've built RNG Coin with unique functions such as: transaction comments, Shared Secret (web and Qt realisations), Random Numbers Generation, gaming block explorer, planned note decryption, and a messenger service based on RNG, as well as many more.
This has all been driven by our belief that decentralization, blockchain technology and cryptography will change the world for the better.
