So you think holofoils might actually end up being worth more than a crystal sparkle card?

Someone is selling MR crystal sparkle cards quite cheap. Still seem to be seeing far more CS meta-rare than holofoil

Damnit. Now I'm addicted to buying these things.

I initially bought one pack to store, and one to open. Got a couple holofoils and even an orange refractor, nice Smiley
Yup, they suck you in for sure. Someday in the future the boxes will be gone. The cards will dry up on ebay, and people will be begging for a base card. Hold fast, and get um while you can

I have a CF Tesla card, anyone have an idea as to the value or rarity?
Its a rare card, but since project isnt sold out yet prices have been swinging back and forth depending on the number for sale. Currently value is $100-$200 on ebay. I hold on to it. In the future it will be worth much more. Just one mans opinion
I would agree with this.
The CF cards are apparently harder to find than the "Meta Rare" cards which are 1:124
Since series 1 isn't sold out yet, it's going to take awhile to really find out how rare some of the not numbered but rare cards like the MR and CF. It also seems as though there have been more crystal sparkle version of the MR cards found than the standard holofoil version, so holofoil MR's might be worth more

I say hold the card as long as you can before selling, I don't think prices will go down from what they are now

Is there actually an overview of how many coins are available in the Redemption Program and which ones have already been retrieved?
Over 20 btcs given away. One redemption card per case 2125 cases. No word on how many have been redeemed. That would effect sales. 5 cards have 1 btc on them

Just thought I'd share my meagre haul - I purchased two boxes and have opened one (I'm mulling over whether or not to open the other-one just yet) - two packets/five cards in each.

One note worthy card (Salvator Mundi 81/99), one satoshi a couple of holos (halving and NFT) and the other six are basic cards (including an Ethereum and a Rocket card).

I'm wondering Do I sell the good card to buy more boxes, or, hang on for a year or two and then sell (but not buy more boxes in the meantime?) ??

Nice hit on the Salvator Gem!

Rip those other packs.  ;-)

Thanks for the pic MJ

I have probably seen every card now and still my favorite is the MR5 holofoil with the gold border, stunning card that one

A few cards have caught my eye... not sure if this makes them more valuable?

#18 Satoshi border in 2 different orange colors.
#56 NFT is printed/cut off center

The Satoshi cards are just a natural effect of the ink saturation at different times during the run.  At the beginning, when the ink is full, the colors tend to saturate a bit more.

The miscut card is just a miscut card.  Basically, a production flaws/error.  We do spot checks of sheets to look for these miscuts and weed them out, but with so many you can't manually inspect them all before they get cut and put into the feeders.  So you get some wonky ones like this slip through.

Do the numbers below look correct? Just want to make sure im not missing anything.

Total number of gemstone refractor cards:

Beryl: 10877
Emerald: 7227
Amherst: 3577
Ruby: 1825
Gold: 730
Sapphire: 365
Onyx: 73

These numbers have been calculated using the full card set of 62 cards plus the 11 MR cards that also come in gemstone refractor

Edit: Any reason the standard MR cards were not released numbered? usually case hits and up would be numbered, I think

Interesting. I would imagine with so many cards in production there would be some errors. I say these error cards fetch greater value because of there rarity. Especially the off center card. Thanks for sharing

In the card grading industry uneven borders receive a lower grade, therefore always are lesser valued. It's easy to misalign, it's harder to perfectly produce an individual card repeatedly at mass scale.

As for ink coloring printing differences... Those end up to the preference of the secondary market. Sometimes it matters to the value sometimes it doesn't.
Thanks for the info. I have never collected trading cards before except for garbage pail kids when I was 7. Glad to hear from people familiar with market. Even though its easier to misalign a card. Since 99% are aligned properly wouldn't the rarity of a misaligned card add value as an error card. I know in coin collecting especially US mint coins. Error coins fetch higher prices for rarity. But I could see a misaligned card as a not sought after error. Again, thanks for info
