Hi,

We've added J to the miners multipool x13 algo: www.zpool.ca

If anyone can fix the wallet to allow mining on multi-algo/same machine, we could add it to the rest.

Cheers!

I've tried running more than one algo on the same machine without success as well. Nobody could help back then, maybe that can change?

I would think they would be able to help. Not much point having a multi-algo coin if it can't work like the main stream ones, like UIS, DGC, DGB, MYR... which I have no issues running all algo on one machine...

Anyone able to help here?

I think it's because of tor.

I think so too somehow, but it's trying on a port that isn't coded in and I've specified my tor= option. It seems like its a upnp port. What's strange, is that the first daemon doesn't use up a port...

With one running:

netstat -tulpn |grep join

is empty

when I try and start the next..

netstat -tulpn |grep join

tcp        0      0 127.0.0.1:10628         0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      32340/joincoind

Which correspoinds to the port is waiting on... I've even tried disabling listen... and still opens and hangs on that port....

I've setup one algo, x13 however, when I setup my next one... it just sits at:

Joincoin version v1.3.0.0 (2014-08-21 05:37:00 -0400)
Using OpenSSL version OpenSSL 1.0.2d 9 Jul 2015
Startup time: 2015-12-21 16:11:19
Default data directory /home/pool/.joincoin
Using data directory /home/pool/.joincoin-x11/
Using at most 16 connections (10240 file descriptors available)
Using 8 threads for script verification
init message: Verifying wallet...
dbenv.open LogDir=/home/pool/.joincoin-x11/database ErrorFile=/home/pool/.joincoin-x11/db.log
Bound to 127.0.0.1:10628

Any ideas? My config:

ICO? Not even once.
A large amount of give-way of Joincoins is still going on @ http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?faucet=J.   Present Joincoin Faucet balance: 97150.55864 J

That's the fattest faucet I've ever seen, nice!

my bad, Pre Sale at C-CEX exchange

In August 2014, it was sold at price up to 6000 Sat on day one, dropped to as low as below 100 Sat for only a few days. After that the price never looked back. Apparently, most of the initial 1.4 million Joincoins have changed hands. Additional 0.7 million Joincoins have been mined; the remainder of the 0.7 million Joincoins should have been mined in the coming 6-7 months.

It was delisted @c-cex.

Traded at Bittrex all the time.

I have been fascinated with being able to set up and mine Joincoins with several office PCs during idle hours and have been staying with this kind of CPU-mining for 16 months. During the about initial half a year, the blocks was advancing at mostly below 300 blocks/day, but during the past 6 months, mining activities have been mostly at or above 1450 block/day.

For updated info and vote:   http://www.joincoin.org/

Please note that: despite the vote, presently only  (1) No change  or (2) Switching to lower POW block-reward of say 0.2 J/block is the possible choice.

Otherwise,  with markedly increased difficulty/cost/risk-of-failure to switch to POS and enormous amount of work-to-do and risk of Switching to POS+POW (which costs the whole value of the Joincoin crypto), it would be hard to imagine doing in these way.  (Unless there is a precedent of seamless switching and very good outcome with any multi-ago crypto.)

===================================
of note,
the dev    Love_of_Algo   has never come back or responded.  Even the helper  Pride-C-CEX, looking like the same person (with this idea being rebutted) by the name structure, was only "last active" in January 2015.

A large amount of give-way of Joincoins is still going on @ http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?faucet=J.   Present Joincoin Faucet balance: 97150.55864 J
====================================    Cheesy

It appears that Joincoins would need to stay "No fril." Even adding things such as mibile wallet would be very hard. Nevertheless, it can be kept stable, useful, certainly interesting with continued lower-reward-POW.

I am working to make Joincoin known, kept, used and traded by people relatively new to the crypto world. Popularity is the key to success.   Cheesy

ICO? Not even once.
Tor is on by default, as far as I know you can't even disable it.
Awesome! thats great to know thank you. Just makes this coin even better! cant seem to find it on c-cex though? has it been de-listed for now?

I'm not sure when this was on c-cex but it's on bittrex.

This is exactly what Ive been looking for! What an incredible idea! Thank you for putting in the time and effort to make something that equalizes the mining field and makes it much easier to introduce new users to altcoins (everyone has a cpu, gpu/asic not so much)

Edit
Windows wallet link is currently not working. Mega says file deleted
/Edit

Check out this post for the wallet link.
sweet thanks for the link:)

Shocked Embarrassed Undecided

Seen that this had been dumped this morning and it totally bummed me out..
I really like this coin to!

It will likely stay that way until the future is clear (PoS vs PoW). PoS with 0.2 PoW blocks would be the best imo.

I agree. The multi algorithm mining is what makes this one unique. I dont think it would be a good idea to do away with that element.
