Hi,

I just released an optimized version of sgminer for jackpotcoin for 14.6 amd drivers.

It was tested on my R9-290x at 1050MHz.

The hashrate is 5.97MHash/s
with the standard jackpotcoin miner, the speed was 3.5MHash/s on 13.12 drivers and 4.1MHash.s on 14.6.

So it is an increase between 50% and 100% depending on the drivers you currently use.

This is still lower than nvidia hashrate (however here it is running on all the hashes... so this is at that level still a work in progress

The source can be found here: https://github.com/djm34/sgminer-jpc
windows binaries here: https://mega.co.nz/#!0d9xjagT!H-K3q-XcyHIGEPcPQOKPcW7sdvh8cAaAmHqNRP09zBg

To use the algo: sgminer --kernel jpc -o pool -u password

Nice job, from 2,3 MH/s to 2,5 MH/s at my R9 280x GPUs Smiley Continue improvements buddy Wink
which drivers ? 14.6 drivers should give you more than that

It was 13.4, now after changing it to 14.6 hashing jumped on 4.3 MH/s with each MSI R9 280X Gaming Ed. card and the Intensity of 18. NICE WORK Smiley

have 77mh/s. Want to solo mining. Any advice?

Solo mining is basically mining to your wallet.  Look on the first page for how to set up the jackpot.conf file.  I'd suggest setting your rpcallowip to 127.0.0.1 if you're mining on the same machine as wallet, or 192.168.1.* if you trust your lan security and will be using multiple rigs.  make sure you have a proper user and password too, I've heard of people losing their funds due to poor security on their wallet with rcp.  Also, it's not worth solo mining, even with 77mh at this point.  Join a pool with low fees.  https://www.minep.it/pool/jpc/ has a great ui, great performance, and 0.75% fee.

Hi
I try solo mining for sometime but it seems gtx 780 has other thing in its mind. Speed just drop. I am now mining at www.minep.it. The return is good so far or I say in same like dwarf pool but what worries me the luck of this pool. I am really confused of this pool. In one hand the luck it is getting is terrible. See the last 5 block finding stat:

295,601    KaevurMati            6/24 3:04:05 AM    1132.60% (65,799,332)
294,707    liomojo                    6/23 11:41:48 PM    498.98% (25,118,000)
294,388    crazybean                    6/23 10:24:11 PM    15.98% (657,616)
294,383    liomojo                    6/23 10:22:49 PM    136.35% (5,544,968)
294,312    23430502DDS33    6/23 10:05:52 PM    1020.30% (53,366,016)

Only one block under 100% and most strange thing is I am getting same reward what I can get from other pool or specially dwarf pool.

Thanks
Rony

Doing solo mining with my hash(80 Mh/s) and 3 blocks in less than in 24 hour. I see when I post my solo mining result it generally get decrease but still posting( Grin).

If you have an old 5xxx or 6xxx card and you upgrade to the new 14.16 driver, you need to use -kernel jackpotcoin and NOT jpc.

JPC will cause huge instability, lower hash and HW errors.

Seems to benefit R9 and 7xxx cards the most.

All my rigs are messed up because of this 14.6 drivers.

They hang or don't install properly. I wish everything was left as before.

i only managed to work with 6 gpus on windows 8.0 with 13.12 drivers. nothing else would work. now with this  new performance driver amd 14.6 beta i dont think this new driver would detect all my 6 gpus, so must be a way to extract some new files from driver 14.6 and replace them with my current drives, possibly.
Any ideias???

Nice job again  Wink
I went from 2.4Mhash to 4.3Mhash on a 280x and still using 13.12 drivers.
Just copied AMD_ocl and AMD_opencl files from 14.6 to the miners directory and everything works perfectly.

Hi, my rig works on a fake copy of windows 8 with 6x 280x gpus using 13.12 drives. im not able to upgrade to windows 8.1 so does anyone knows how to trick the windows and possibly replace files from  drives 14.6 beta to the ones i have??? thanks in advance...
Im getting about 3100khs each card, sapphire 280x toxic.

under properties, you can set sgminer to emulate W7.  This MAY allow you to change the drivers in Device manager to the beta 14.6.

W7, BTW, may only support 4 cards.  My rig would not accept a 5th card.

Don't know if it got mentioned or not.. maybe I just missed it, but it looks like we passed the 50% mined mark recently...

51.02 mined as of my writing of this.

Still a whole lot of coins to go, but as things slow down with the block reward I think those holding on to the stake coins will start to see all their work pay off if the coin can find it's demand and difficulty sweet spot.

Anyone feel like they have too many coins and want to sell me back the 10.8 million JPC I sold @ 2 sat? Just PM me! Smiley

What hash rate do Gforce cards get on SHA3, MAXcoin for example?

Haven't tried it myself, but according to the info here (http://cudamining.cc/url/configurations), it looks like about 150Mh/s on a 750Ti.

For reference, my 4 750Ti rig does about 22Mh/s on JPC and only draws about 240W total.

NICE........ My hash rate went from 12MH to 19 on my 4 290s.  Will be mining to your JPC today as payment.  Hashharder.

Yeesh, that's still pretty rough. Surely there are better mining options for AMD cards.

Yes, I can mine SHA3 coins at 1.5GH.  Temp only hits 76 degrees max.

Scrypt coins cause CGWatcher to constantly lower the intensity to 14 and even shut a card down.  When it was 17 degrees outside, it was easy to keep the cards cool when set by an open window.

Nice work! Smiley
I saw your another tweaked sgminer in talkcoin thread.
Improved hashrate is almost same to that of talkcoin's one Smiley
Of course they are basically identical algo, right?
Now I'm just wondering that there is difference between NIST5 algo used in talkcoin and JHA of jackpotcoin.
I think only difference is hashing order (BLAKE, JH, Skein, ...)
If this is true, it seems that talkcoin is successor of jackpotcoin in algo perspective. (jackpotcoin was launched earlier)
Thanks,
In terms of individual algo they are the same (the 5 finalists of the nist contest) however the way they are used is different as in jpc it is keccak followed by three random rounds of groesl or skein and  blake or JH.

(however the individual algo are found in many ex cpu only coin like quark, hvc, X11 etc... )

No support of 14.6 AMD drivers in Vista Sad
With 13.4 looks like 5xxx and 6xxx series performs even slower with new miner...so update will effect only 7xxx and R5/R7/R9 cards.

there is a trick which has been explained on the previous page, to have it working without changing the driver...

I guess that trick is working in Linux, not Windows.
Tried to copy opencl 14.6 dlls to miner directory - no effect on jpc kernel, and not starting with jackpotcoin kernel Smiley
Don't have Win7/8.1 machine to try. And don't want to reinstall system with pirated Win, as I have a legal Vista license Smiley
If somebody confirms that new sgminer improves performance on 5/6xxx cards - will think about win upgrade Wink
try to get the bin file from someone else (reported to work too...)

Anyone can share jpcJuniperglg2tc8193w256l4.bin built on 14.6 driver and new sgminer? Wink

YES... post email and I will send it

OOPS>>>>>>>>> SOrry, i have jackpothawaii not Juniper.  But I will send to anyone requesting it.

can you upload it to mega.co.nz and post it to the thread please?
