No support of 14.6 AMD drivers in Vista Sad
With 13.4 looks like 5xxx and 6xxx series performs even slower with new miner...so update will effect only 7xxx and R5/R7/R9 cards.

there is a trick which has been explained on the previous page, to have it working without changing the driver...

I guess that trick is working in Linux, not Windows.
Tried to copy opencl 14.6 dlls to miner directory - no effect on jpc kernel, and not starting with jackpotcoin kernel Smiley
Don't have Win7/8.1 machine to try. And don't want to reinstall system with pirated Win, as I have a legal Vista license Smiley
If somebody confirms that new sgminer improves performance on 5/6xxx cards - will think about win upgrade Wink
try to get the bin file from someone else (reported to work too...)

Anyone can share jpcJuniperglg2tc8193w256l4.bin built on 14.6 driver and new sgminer? Wink

YES... post email and I will send it

OOPS>>>>>>>>> SOrry, i have jackpothawaii not Juniper.  But I will send to anyone requesting it.

can you upload it to mega.co.nz and post it to the thread please?

still using 13.12 drivers.
Just copied AMD_ocl and AMD_opencl files from 14.6 to the miners directory and everything works perfectly.

Nice tip, I'll remember that for future driver releases so I don't have to reboot etc Smiley
Great!,

But the 14.4 driver will not work?  PIMP(getpimp.org) has 14.4 only.
Can somebody upload "AMD_ocl and AMD_opencl files from 14.6"?

Cant find AMD_ocl, are u sure the name is right? (AMDocl?)  but have several versions of AMD_opencl.  32 and 64 bit.  WHich do you need?

Hi,

I just released an optimized version of sgminer for jackpotcoin for 14.6 amd drivers.

It was tested on my R9-290x at 1050MHz.

The hashrate is 5.97MHash/s
with the standard jackpotcoin miner, the speed was 3.5MHash/s on 13.12 drivers and 4.1MHash.s on 14.6.

So it is an increase between 50% and 100% depending on the drivers you currently use.

This is still lower than nvidia hashrate (however here it is running on all the hashes... so this is at that level still a work in progress

The source can be found here: https://github.com/djm34/sgminer-jpc
windows binaries here: https://mega.co.nz/#!0d9xjagT!H-K3q-XcyHIGEPcPQOKPcW7sdvh8cAaAmHqNRP09zBg

To use the algo: sgminer --kernel jpc -o pool -u password

A bounty from jackpotcoin dev would be good too  Grin

Nice work! Smiley
I saw your another tweaked sgminer in talkcoin thread.
Improved hashrate is almost same to that of talkcoin's one Smiley
Of course they are basically identical algo, right?
Now I'm just wondering that there is difference between NIST5 algo used in talkcoin and JHA of jackpotcoin.
I think only difference is hashing order (BLAKE, JH, Skein, ...)
If this is true, it seems that talkcoin is successor of jackpotcoin in algo perspective. (jackpotcoin was launched earlier)

NICE........ My hash rate went from 12MH to 19 on my 4 290s.  Will be mining to your JPC today as payment.  Hashharder.

Nice job, from 2,3 MH/s to 2,5 MH/s at my R9 280x GPUs Smiley Continue improvements buddy Wink

Change your command line from --kernel jackpotcoin to --kernel jpc and get something between 3.5mh/s to 4.2mh/s instead Cheesy

...and also get the 14.6 drivers like djm34 suggests as well!

Man, I'm not an idiot, I've changed the kernel. It's only R9 280X not 290X

I didn't misread, I know you have a 280x card. The speed range I quoted are roughly what you should be getting, even if you have not overclocked your card.

Here's 4 x 280x cards at I:20...

http://i59.tinypic.com/30xbsz8.gif

You should be getting at least 3.5mh/s with your lower intensity setting.

i have 2 R9280x

I updated to 14.6 drivers and changed to kernel to jpc then I changed my intensity to 20 and it went from 2.3mh to 3mh, here is how my miner is set up.

sgminer.exe --kernel jpc -o stratum+tcp://jpc.hashatme.com:3333 -u xxx -p xxx -d 0 -d 1 -I 20,20 --gpu-engine 1160,1160 --gpu-memclock 1800,1800 --thread-concurrency 11200,11200 -g 2 --auto-gpu --auto-fan --temp-target 70,70 --temp-overheat 80,80 --temp-cutoff 85,85

whats your config for your 280x?

Here's my command-line...

Code:
sgminer.exe --kernel jpc -I 20 -o x -u x -p x

...and that's it, there's no .conf file either. Try changing your thread-con to the default value of 8192. All my cards are clocked at 1025 engine and 1500 memory, maybe also try lowering your clocks to these as well. I get around 2.1% rejects overall with these settings.

WOW this is great, before today i was running at 2.3mh now im running at 4.6mh on each card. thank you so much!!

I bet it was the thread-concurrency that fixed it, right?
I changed all the settings to the ones that you suggested so im not sure exactly what fixed it but I will probably mess with the settings later tonight.

small dump just happened Sad

And some of that I'm sure was me dumping 300k in order to add more btc to the buy support... Not all people sell to take their btc and run.  Do you always expect people to buy and never sell?  It's a cycle man, buy/sell/buy/sell.....and on and on.

Any app sdk you'd like to suggest? My rig works at intensity of 17, with almost 1,5-2,5% rejects and no HW. In a few moments I'll check your miner with my notebook card and will post the stats XD
