there two kind of distribution so far. ANy coin. it is either POW or POW/POS.

I have shared my opinion about this subject many time. here is a simple comparison.

POW : ability to gain some of the POW coin is via BUYING or MINING.  2 possible methods
POS : ability to gain some of the POS coin is via BUYING only. 1 possible method.


Just by comparing this you can easily see that POW attract double clients

Some time a POW coin is high in plrice for you to feel like buying. but instead of walking away like with POS coins , you mine it.

You can cry "ASICs" to show that miner distribution is loosing the fair distribution and you can be some what right but it is still better then POS "staking"

Unless you have bought a good chunk of a POS coin then your stake weight will be rediculus low and you will make some few coins per week. Look at reddcoin people. some have 2 millions coins and sit there for three days to mine 500 coins. while those that have 30 mills mine 50 coins a day and the ones that have over 100 mill mine tons more a day.

Also not to mention that POS coin turn every single person into a miner. every single wallets stakes aka "mines" new coins.

there tons of other troubles POS provides.

So far POW only has ASICs and %51 attacks. Things that i see being fixed in near future as bitcoin is getting closer of having these two become reality.




what we should do, as my opinion cut down the block rewards of the POw by x20.  instead of 20,000 coins to 1000 coins.dare i say even 100 coin per block? or 92 coins to match with our total billions.  we already have a low nethashrate as we stand. its not like we dont risk being attached anyways.

Ive just contacted cryptorush and they will soon start refunding the people who lost money on there.
Personally, i have only lost 0.2btc, this is not much. But as soon this 0.2btc comes free, im willing to put this 0.2btc into karma development. So if the team feels there is anything that needs a bit of funding, just give me a reply and ill make sure you'll get it. (IF cryptorush will refund but im sure they do as they gone through a lot kf tough work).

POW model's relying on miners to sustain the network is it's biggest downside. New coins are not gonna succeed with current POW model. Once it's mined out or rewards are reduced, the miners gonna leave resulting in the death of the coin. Is there any other methods to sustain the network, even if there are no miners?
