Is karmacoin in YoBit safe?

It can not be transferred to Wallet by maintenance.

Karma wallet on Yobit isn't fixed and nobody can withdraw from there,so don't buy karma from Yobit.

Yobit want money from many coins to fix their wallets,from 0.2 btc upwards.

Serisouly? SO my karmacoins are worthless now? Many people have karma coins there...what will they do with them?

Hopefully, if the community is willing to accept me as the new leader of Karma, then we can fix the wallet, list on bigger exchanges, and lots of other great things for this coin.

But we need to move fast before Karma takes its last breath.

What do we have to lose?

Welcome back kosmost! I remember having 12k euro in karmacoin 3-4 years ago and I was telling all my friends about karmacoin. You should definitely be our new leader.
I accept you as our leader! I will try to get the word out the coming days that karma is back and it is probably a good idea to make a slack channel and telegram group.

Karma.conf
karma.conf
karmacoin.conf

Hey.. sorry for your troubles. Between the three, karma.conf is fine.

Let us know how it works.

Thanks

So with karma.conf i get a runtime error it crashes it tells me tell the aplication team (I can't cut and paste the text it's an image) . so then i go delete the karma.conf and it runs fine but doesn't connect to the netowrk. i tried the help/debug put the nodes one by one nothing still not connecting.

do you have karma.conf and it's working? what text do you have in there maybe that's the problem?

Hi. Here is what you can do:

[Note: back up your wallet.dat file before you do the following. It is in your appdata\roaming\karma\ folder. And just to be safe, you might as well make a copy of that, too]

1. Close the wallet, then create a text file: c:\users\YOUR-NAME\appdata\roaming\karma\karma.conf (or on linux, ~/.karma/karma.conf) and paste the following into it:

addnode=67.173.120.250:9432
addnode=91.153.109.149:49522
addnode=78.214.167.61:11081
addnode=69.130.152.117:51308
addnode=96.230.110.235:9333
addnode=128.173.185.170:9333
addnode=45.55.176.26:9333

2. Delete everything in %appdata%/karma except wallet.dat and karma.conf

3. (re)start the Karma wallet.

Thank you @kosmost   !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I followed your great instructions and I have 2 active connections! Yeaahhhh!

Ok, how long do you think till it's synced so I can move the coins? Or maybe you have bootstrap?

Thanks again and I'll look forward to future development of this cool named coin!

I'm glad it helped Smiley

Syncing depends on how powerful your computer is. Unfortunately, there is no bootstrap file at this time but it's something we should have.

You're very welcome!

By the way, you still have MintPal's Karma wallet in your possession, right? How many coins does it have in it? 7 billion or something? What's the address?

Do you have a plan for that?

yes i have it. the plan was to return %92 of them to each user in there. emails were sent. many times. over a period of a year or more most was claimed. the rest was suppose be decided if either distribute the rest back to the users for %100 back & burn the coins, or burn the coins and leave it at %92.

Since the momentum has died out and i rarely get any emails or users care to come here. i will most likely burn them

Good to know, and thank you for looking after them.

What's the address? Or one of the addresses?

We could probably use them for development, since they are a valuable resource. Then Karma could benefit as a whole.

What does everyone else think? At 1 satoshi the 6.6 billion coins are worth $181,00 in BTC right now. At 5 satoshis, $955,000. Of course, we wouldn't sell many of them, or all at the same time, but this just puts it into perspective.

Karma could do amazing things with it.

@bitwho
I was looking for some kind of transparency report for the coins but couldn't find it. Can you paste it here?

Like...

Recovered Mintpal Coins

Initial number of coins: xxxxxxx
Karma Address: xxxxxxx
Number of users who claimed: xx
Number of claimed coins: xxxxxxx
Current value: xxxxxxxx

or something like that...

That way, the Karma community will know the state of the Karma coins.

And why you dont buy it? OR at least update the first post so that we could see more information , like total supply or other informations
Edit: the coins from cryptsy are in possesion of the devs or somebody else?

I contacted the guy in charge of the recovered Cryptsy wallets. He mentioned that he destroyed the wallet copy once it was claimed. He didn't say by who, but said he tried his best to contact each coin. He just did it on the old thread.

Some guy who tried to claim the Dogecoin wallet because he had 100 Doge (!) tried to claim the Karma wallet. I don't know if he was successful, but maybe.

Cryptsy went offline 145 days ago, and I don't see any big wallets that have been touched in under 300 days. The more active wallets seem to start under 300m coins. (They may have had 1 large reserve wallet and several smaller wallets. Not sure how that worked.)

Wallet might be broken down to thousands of wallets. so i am not sure if you can tell just by staring at explorer. But you make a point. at least the coins havent move.

That person should come forward here..

I really want to store my Karma coins in a windows wallet. But, there isn't really an official one yet? I am not sure if I feel safe storing my coins in a community set up wallet. Any idea when we will have an official wallet? Thanks

it was posted many times.

givekarma.net is the site. scroll down and download your operator wallet or compile it yourself from the source code.

Curious.. what are people's thoughts on KTN? It's still a confusing project for me (as I like to keep things simple, due to not being so smarts) but I know a lot of the Karma community have speculated in KTN (to an amazing degree, I might add) and would like to see it succeed.

I'm all about focus and don't really like distractions, but also want to consider your wants and needs regarding KTN.

So, what are your thoughts?
