Is there an active developer for this coin? Any upcoming news? Is there a working windows wallet? I see potential in this coin, but worry about these issues. Also, is there any plans for any other exchanger besides Yobit? Can't you guys get it on coinexchange.io or another website?

These things will take time. We only began talking about reviving the coin a few days ago. Therefore, we are not trying to get it on another exchange at this time. (It would be pre-mature.)

Hey guys,
I've PMd kosmost to find out more about your coin. It seems that you still have a great community. But what I have a few question maybe someone could help me understand.
1. The coins from cryptsy are destroyed or somebody still have them.
2. The richtest wallet from here - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/karm/#!rich who has it?
3. And if this coin is traded at 1 sat and has a great community why don't they buy it?  I'm new and I already have my first karma Smiley
4. Why do you 2 threads that are not updated? Not batter make a new thread:) with a new fully redesign and close the other 2

Cheers

Thanks Smiley Replied, but some additional comments.

1. If the coins are lost, then it has both good and bad. It is unfortunate that someone lost their coins, but good in that there is now less supply (for our particular case). During the time when Cryptsy had problems there were rumors about its insolvency. People were told not to keep their coins on exchanges. We don't know how many coins were lost, but it's possible that it wasn't a tremendous amount. Mintpal was a bigger exchange for Karma, I think.

2. That is the KarmaToken wallet, a project from EastEagle. The coins were exchanged for KarmaTokens for that project. It is a separate project, but we may find a way to work together in future.

3. People have been buying it Smiley Yesterday's volume was 24 BTC on Yobit. Network hash rate has increased 2-3x in the past week. Good things are happening again.

Any good investment requires patience. Coins are speculation, however, so even more patience is needed Smiley I would focus more on market cap than price, though. The price of a coin doesn't tell you much. Some new coins start out quite high, such as http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/electra/ which is only a month old and trading at 0.00563001 BTC. You could buy up all the coins for less than 0.5 bitcoin

4. The first thread was started by the original developer, who abandoned the coin in 2014. The coin was picked up by some members of the community (including myself) and we made a new thread.

The coin, however, has been at a low point for the past 1+ year. We are only now thinking about how to put some gas in the coin. The process will not be as fast as I would like but it's not a bad thing. This is not a short-term pump and dump, so there is time to make a 'wise speculative decision'.

I hope this helps to satisfy some of your queries. If there's anything more than we can do please let us know Smiley

But I am confused. If I buy 5 million coins on Yobit, will I actually have 5 million coins? Or will it turn into 500k coins eventually?

well first of all , do your own research, and realize your buying the coins yourself. no one is forcing you to do anything.

Kosmost is the guy who wants to revamp this. There is no certain plan as of know. only what seems like brain storming. in other words opinions that are not finalized.

NO one can answer that because it is not known yet.

Thanks. I just invested into Karma on Yobit. I couldn't deny the potential of this coin. Does the windows wallet work for this?

Yes.

Also, if I buy 5 million coins on Yobit, will I really have 5 million coins? Or is there gonna be a swap and decrease in my coin amount? Please answer asap guys. I wanna invest into this coin Smiley Is there a working wallet for windows also? Thanks

From what I see people are still deciding how the transition from the current Karma will be performed in a way that makes most people happy and allows for Karma to have a prosper future!

And what happens to the current coins? will be worthless?

If anything, you should be able to convert them to the new ones.
So that should not be a problem.

And why you dont buy it? OR at least update the first post so that we could see more information , like total supply or other informations
Edit: the coins from cryptsy are in possesion of the devs or somebody else?

I contacted the guy in charge of the recovered Cryptsy wallets. He mentioned that he destroyed the wallet copy once it was claimed. He didn't say by who, but said he tried his best to contact each coin. He just did it on the old thread.

Some guy who tried to claim the Dogecoin wallet because he had 100 Doge (!) tried to claim the Karma wallet. I don't know if he was successful, but maybe.

Cryptsy went offline 145 days ago, and I don't see any big wallets that have been touched in under 300 days. The more active wallets seem to start under 300m coins. (They may have had 1 large reserve wallet and several smaller wallets. Not sure how that worked.)

Wallet might be broken down to thousands of wallets. so i am not sure if you can tell just by staring at explorer. But you make a point. at least the coins havent move.

That person should come forward here..

you should PM microguy and ask who received the bounty. it has got to be some one with credentials. i dont think microguy would give it to just anyone.

Thanks, will do.

I'm curious as to why no one here wanted to claim them. It would have taken just a minute of someone's time, for the benefit of Karma. Seems strange.

I hope we can be more responsive as a community in future.

Can't speak for others, but i never saw that post. it was posted on old karma thread. i never check that.  This is the official karma thread

Yeah, I just happened to see it, myself. Anyway, there may not have been that much in the wallet, and it may have been a corrupted file
