We have to be patient and wait for BTC to recover.  
The hit it took from GOX will take at least 3 months.

One guy - Kosmost - is responsible for spearheading the Karmashares effort.  There is nothing he can claim is his.

I am so confused.

If you are here still, then who is it exactly that is doing the Karmashares stuff and the other activities with the coin?


Also, which thing are you suggesting is for the few to get rich?

Developers are here and have not moved on.  

We do not agree with the marketing direction of the coin.  It is very focused on lining the pockets of a couple of people.  As the BTC markets continue to improve we anticipate that KARM will improve without market manipulation.  Until then - we believe that the economy of KARM needs to mature - and minimize marketing to promote pumping and dumping of the coin.  It is important that the currency finds its legs among many not just a few spirited people.

We supported the marketing efforts until they went to far.  Minimizing the pool size and actual conversation of pumping so the few could get rich was not in the best interest of KARM and we said enough to cooperating with the scheming.  Not the KARM spirit.

It is our responsibility as Devs to make sure that the commercial interests of a few do not take advantage of others.

The concept of selling shares to an LLC is fraudulent and not sponsored by the KARM inventors/owners. 

It is like someone buying A Ford Motor Car and liking it so much that they decide to attempt to sell shares and trademark the Form Motor Car as if they were the actual owners, just because they bought a car.    

We have asked them to stop and they have not replied - instead they decided to kick us out of their discussions.

The person that updates it doesn't do it fast enough, actually. We like to move fast and get things done. There are so many things to do, if we wait 1 week to do something then that's a lot of time wasted.

We must stay competitive with other coins. We have our sights on Bitcoin-like levels of participation and market cap. (Don't laugh.. I'm dead serious)

So in order to get things done faster and manage the thread more easily, 3-4 of us now have access to the new thread (instead of just 1)

We will also have an updated wallet coming out in the next couple of days and possibly with some other news.

We are still considering PoS.. we want to do it right and make sure the parameters are correct.

I hope that a future version (in the not-too-distant future) can let the share explorer know of all your wallet addresses so you can just automatically log in to it.

But you can look at your transaction ID on the left side of the page now. If you want to test the address you see for it you can send yourself 1 karma. You should get it immediately. (We'll make it searchable and sortable eventually.. We can do it now but updates would be only every few days instead of 3-5x a day.)

Yes, you can keep them for more than 30 days. If you want a full quarter of profits you should keep them at least 3 months. (30 days would only get 1/3 of the profits for that quarter. Profits for the quarter would be announced after the quarter is finished.)

make sure your wallet is encrypted before you do that.. there have been cases of people who have had coins stolen from backed up un-encrypted wallets.
everyone should use the encrypt wallet function in the wallet application before backing up their wallet.dat files.
