I do not give financial advice .. do your own DD
i used to like komodo, but after j1777's attack on safecoin, made on purpose, i think it's a shame for a coin with good tech to have such a shitty character leading it

The full story of what happened will eventually be released on a Bitcoin or altcoin news site.

And it is quite a story.

In fact, the attack on SAFE is still ongoing and was 100% based on info provided on Komodo Slack by j1777. The information released was intentionally malicious and designed to destroy SAFE.

Didn't Komodo have a $200 million ICO?

Giant houses and Lambos anyone?

mmmmm

If he really used an Attack to get that Coins, that is so bad from so many Angles.
Actually he drestroyed his own credibility + Komodo Credibility.
The Legal implication could be also very very harmful for him.

Looks like someone is in Trouble.

Let's just say that there are screenshots from their Slack group that can't be posted right now because people could use them to further exploit SAFE.

But there are screenshots.

Damn I hate the living shit out of ICOs.

Dude is probably living like a sultan on high right now.

Oh please, bro, jl777 just mined Safe as anyone else could, he wants a bag of Safe for his hodl stash , why complain, he did spend 4 years developing the tech, so Safe must be a significant moment for him personally being the first clone attempt. I have a friend who keeps all her children's birth placenta's (is it placentii maybe?) In the freezer for decades now. People get sentimental over things they create, and weird too, but jl777 mining Safe is very predictable and normal,  and totally cool, Safe would not exist without him.

What would be the address to which one would send their VOTE tokens if they don't plan to use them i.e. if one wants to burn the VOTE tokens where should they send them? Thank you.
RD6GgnrMpPaTSMn8vai6yiGA7mN4QGPVMY is a burn address, it is from the null pubkey

I have a feeling there is a lot of election activity going on behind the scenes this week, whales rarely telegraph their moves in public without good reason. Probably safe to assume a few deals have been done to lock up some notary node positions already, and nobody will really know who is paying for VOTES unless they need to call on small hodlers, which so far isn't that many candidates. I don't have a problem with consortiums and deals if it produces the desired outcome of well functioning network, which it will.

KMD one of my favorite, with a longterm vision... But the platform is complex hard to understand what actually it wants to achieve in the long run...

We will build an ecosystem.

Komodo provides the technology and powers everything. Through the technologies such as 'atomic swaps' they integrate the whole blockchain industry together.

More and more businesses are looking to take an adventage of the blockchain tech, and to do that efficiently they will need a native blockchain. With Komodo they can do that.

We must prepare for the influx of businesses and raising interest in Komodo. It is coming.

Join our project at komodopioneers.com and let's support Komodo Platform's mission!

The thing is that until they conduct their so-called "first dICO" there ethereum DAICO will be already conducted by Abyss. They claimed to conduct the first dICO back in a day and failed to even start it. I think they shouldn't call it FIRST anymore. I know also first decentralized ICO which wasn't hyped and they didn't claim to be first dICO but they did it already, Zen Protocol.

Komodo dICO and Ethereum DAICO are completely unrelated things, they only share a similar name.

Monaize announced long ago they won't do a dICO for regulatory reason, they could do a normal ICO later. See their blogpost: https://medium.com/@monaizeuk/making-the-best-use-of-blockchain-to-disrupt-banking-a-marathon-not-a-sprint-faa610c387f8

There is an ICO called Monaize, claimed ICO start date mostly 5 month ago and still no information regarding it. I don't know is komodo good to conduct ICOs in recent development but whole situation looks not proffessional to me. Wink

There was an update on the Monaize situation https://medium.com/@monaizeuk/making-the-best-use-of-blockchain-to-disrupt-banking-a-marathon-not-a-sprint-faa610c387f8
They have changed their strategy due to regulatory reasons and we are moving forward with Blocnation as the first dICO. There has been tons of development since then. Including ETH/ERC20 integration into BarterDEX.

ZEN protocol used atomic swaps to conduct a dICO? That's news to me

I'm a big fan of Komodo and BarterDex Smiley

Also it's simply cool to know that jl777 has been around for years, keeping up the development  like a smoothly running Swiss clock. And it's not only jl, a great team has formed!

keep up the nice work!!
