Am I correct in assuming that BartexDex App 0.7.4 includes the marketmaker binaries and I don't have to set up a liquidity provider node.
I'm thinking all i need to try the decentralized market is ..
1. The latest Agama app
2. The latest BartexDex app

Can someone confirm please?

Thank you
You are mostly correct. However, you dont need 1. as you can use electrum for many coins in barterDEX

you certainly dont have to setup an LP node, that is just for professional marketmakers.

One more question. So I've got BarterDex up and running. I've made three separate BTC and three KMD deposits and have my balances (both coins running electrum). I tried to make a transaction for one of the entries in the market (KMD to BTC) but i get an error message indicating the btc transaction fee is to high. Is this going to be an issue going into the future? What are the options other than trading two other coin pairs?

Thanks in advance

This is not an error message, just a high fee warning. At the moment it is very high. Try to swap other coins or SuperNET assets. It works! Smiley

I get that komodo team doesn't wish to engage in pump cycle for the coin. However is there any marketing campaign geared towards barterdex awareness?

If komodo team doesn't want to do this, is there anything stoping an invester group from promoting the barterdex? Maybe some tasteful banner ads on sites such as cmc? Something better than the shady links posted by the user three posts up. He/she/it seems intent on click bait links so Im not talking about shady advertising like that. The audience Im refering to isn't already on this thread and is unaware of barterdex.

Just a thought. Seems some investers might want this.
nothing to stop an investor group to promote barterdex.

That is a valid link about the abu dhabi conference

Ah, ok. I'm just really paranoid about random looking links.

$kmd will add #LightningNetwork and #smartcontracts as next step after BarterDEX and dICO: "That being said, one of the major things for next year is integrating  Lightning Network and smart contracts into the ecosystem to enable solving the realtime decentralized poker." $btc

Hi again.
So my BTCD finally finished staking and the coins are available in my BTCD wallet.
I would like to exchange them for KMD.
How do I exchange them?

What is a safe wallet to use on Windows ?

Thanks!

ICO site below:

https://ico.komodoplatform.com/

I am using AgamaApp-0.2.0.25c-beta-windows-installer on a windows 7 machine.

You can get your version of choice here below:

There are two months to 2018, the project in 2018 what are the new plans and major things announced?

We are working on many things in many areas. In order to reduce the speculative "buy the rumor/sell the news" cycle and also to be able to concentrate on getting things done, instead of catering to responding to requests for rumors, our policy is to not comment on work in progress.

When it is done, we will announce it.

Like the beta release for barterdex. We didnt announce we will be releasing it. We released it and then announced it. We also just passed 15,000 atomic swaps.

We have achieved quite a lot with the barterDEX that is a functioning atomic swap DEX that can use electrum servers (no need for local blockchain) and also has the ability to do 0conf swaps.

To get more details on work in progress, you will need to join slack and/or monitor github.

We dont feel the need to create pumps by preannouncing announcements of upcoming things.

That being said, one of the major things for next year is integrating Lightning Network and smart contracts into the ecosystem to enable solving the realtime decentralized poker. This has been planned for years so it is no surprise, but now barterDEX is in place that is the final piece that would complete the infrastructure level components for KMD ecosystem. Please dont ask for dates, etc. It will be done when it is done and then we will announce that it is done. Prior to that it will be in testing. That will also be done in a public way like we did with barterDEX.

Amazing! Komodo integrating Lightning Network and smart contracts should enter it again at top 20 in crypto at least. Hoping one of it will be done in the first 2 quarters next year not both. 😍

Why should I have to go on a channel communication to ask questions about roadmap, projects you are working on, estimated date release of your products, workforce allocated to projects and so on ? It should be clearly visible on your website and updated : in all honesty it is clearly not.

SuperNET is not a publicly listed company, if you're an investor that needs to be spoon fed information to make your decisions go and invest in traditional corporations on any stock exchange in the world, and get traditional risk::return opportunities.

SN/KMD is a totally different proposition, you need to work hard yourself, and put all the pieces of the puzzle together yourself. If that doesn't sound good to you (i.e. you want to be treated like a Wall St investor reading a prospectus etc), then seriously bro, leave crypto asap

When an investor buys a coin and then asks “Somebody tell me what I just bought” then I agree. But when you go to the website and still have a hard time figuring what is going on, then I (respectfully) disagree with your statement.

There’s a lot of competition in this space, with more coming. If you want to attract both, investors and companies that want to run on your platform, you need to give them as much information as possible. Because if the attitude is “go figure it out”, they will go elsewhere.

And you most definitely have to make available clear concise information to investors, because if you don’t, they may not buy into your platform, then why would a company do an ICO on your platform if nobody will buy your coin?

I do believe Komodo is realizing this and making some changes/improvements, for instance; they plan on coming out with a new website. Right now though, they are concentrating on BarterDEX, dICO, and the conferences. After that they plan on making lots of updates so we can have a better understanding of what Komodo is all about.

@Community: Is there a Komodo block explorer that shows all tokens which are associated with a specific address? And is it possible to derive more than one Komodo address from a seed?

@JL777: I read some pages back to look for a hint. Have you already migrated the tokens? I'm still waiting for JL777 and SuperNet tokens to be arrived in my Agama wallet. I did the migration step weeks ago.

Thanks!

Explorer: http://explorer.supernet.org/
A wallet seed can have multiple smart addresses.

Thanks, so there is a particular block explorer for each asset and no one that can check all with one request? This was the intention of my question. Not sure if it applicable but wouldn't it be awesome to go to kmd.explorer.supernet.org, enter your Komodo address and get all your tokens associated with that address.
It would be nice...
within barterDEX if you run electrums you could do it via cli, but likely that is not what you want.

I will see if someone can get this done
