The SEC is attempting to make nearly all cryptocurrencies illegal. LBRY is facing a challenge from the SEC under a new standard that would destroy the United States cryptocurrency industry.

How is the 'live' coming along. That is going to be a game changer. Especially if you have a unique 'Live' show that will grab EVERYONE'S attention. On a long term basis, yes, it's horrendous. On a recent basis, it's up ~3x on BTC if I'm not mistaken.

LBC's value has shot up a bunch recently. Historically, these types of coins/platforms have always done very poorly. But censorship is also at an all time high and growing. Whether or not there's now enough technology and drive to send this coin skyrocketing is anyone's guess. But I'd say that the opportunity at least exists now unlike before.
It would be nice to see LBC added to a few more prominent exchanges I'd say first.
I should also mention that MintDice ran a small piece on LBRY earlier across it's site and platforms to help spread the awareness.

How is this functionally different than LBRY? I can't understand the difference. Is it meant to feel more YouTube like or something?
Odysee is more user-and-community oriented than LBRY. It mainly focuses on the user experience. Odysee tries an attempt and approach to gain a wider audience, for example, those users who not familiar with cryptocurrencies, Odysee replaces the LBC with a credits icon. Technically, Odysee is built on top of LBRY, and additionally has like and dislike features, and also a notification. In short, yes it is indeed kinda like youtube's "successor".

My youtube channel linked to it stopped gaining tip I don’t know why even though I stake some of my LBC’s. But I like the platforms mission, I think it needs serious marketing to gain more users. No other YouTube like platform that allows viewers and content creators to earn crypto in just few clicks, It has a lot of potential and a real game changer.
I believe they are lacking with marketing programs here. Not many people know about this platform. As you have experience in using this platform, are you getting decent amount of coins worth following? I remember one similar project before the buzzshow, don't know what they are doing right now in terms of use case.

Google banning it and other major players shadow banning it is awful for price. But the overall censorship might be good for LBRY's overall meta. Hard to say if people care ultimately. These types of coins historically haven't done well to date. Whether or not that will be true for forever, I really have no idea.
For those that can get good use out of LBRY get a win/win on usage of the currency.

Whats the point of all this? There is Tik Tok. You dont need to even think of hoping that another social platform, a youtube clone or whatever it is, will have a chance of being around for long enough to contend with exiting giants. I mean, the attention market is now all taken away by Tik Tok. Nobody wants this old crap weighted down by stupid imperfect AI, and hinging on various monetization strategies which have never been useful to hold users for long, and other setbacks of evolutionary progress that we are about to leave behind.
That is the challenge for platforms like this, where there are a lot more popular platforms that are already in existence.
Hard to penetrate the market and get users onboard. Unless, they have large companies backing the technology.
But at least this one is trying to implement their use case. Most of their contemporaries have long been abandoned.
