Mining profits now, doesn't mean a thing if you don't rely on it as a sole income. It's akin to saying that you stopped mining bitcoin back in the day because you found a coin that was giving you better returns in mining at the time, and it's happened to people.
Also, you haven't even seen the white paper for LCC yet which is imminent, so how would you know that it is just another clone coin? A clone is an exact copy so the mining algorithm, difficulty adjustment and supply should all be the samebut they're not. This can only mean one thing, your logic is (to the tune of Crystal Waters - 100% Pure Love)
