This coin is far from dead. It did not even started. Can you give the developers time to deliver? Dev already said that the android wallet beta release eta was 30 days since day 4th of July so he is still in time! He is already junior member and you can say that only 10% of the developers in this forum are. 90% are newbies that abandoned their coins after pumps and dumps just to rinse and repeat and the reason why those coin treads are long in the page count is because bagholders bump the those threads in despair to get their money back. Dev pretty much posted what is needed to be posted.

Regarding the android wallet; when I want to send some LIT I don't want to type the whole adres since it would be very tedious work. However, how can I use the QR code scanner?

You dont have to type the whole address. You can copy an address to the clipboard and paste on the Android wallet but we still need to develop an address book. The QR code scanner we will use a app but there is some work to do and this will be explained when the beta is released.

I think if this coin is going to go anywhere, it needs a name change
So... the way you see it, a coin is not about the innovation, dedicated active devs and the work behind it but the name of the coin is what is all about... Right, you better check your priorities in life. Its like saying Justin Bieber is the best song artist in the world because of all the hype done around his name even though he does not sing for shit.
You think copycat names is going to do any good for this coin, copying the litecoin name was a really bad start, it has no brand to it, and will fail without a new name, no ones wants to confuse with litecoin, and by using that name your telling all potential investors that this coin sis probably a copy cat coin with no innovation, hence why I haven't invested in it yet

Isn't block reward only 20 lightcoin now though?? What we need is some good news or progress updates. I notice in the cloak thread they just post updates on their progress and it keeps people hyped and interested. Dev needs to be more active on twitter and in this thread in my opinion.
I never stopped being active in this thread. However I only post here to announce or update our progress or reply to questions someone might have.
On Twitter I am also doing basically announcements and updates.

had ended perhaps the best thing to do is limit the POW
now that POS has started to stabalise the chain.
The coin will just be that much more valuable with fewer coins.

while 75% of all those with more than that are not doing well or are dead

Really? What about bitcoin, litecoin, darkcoin...? All dead?
from a trading standpoints it better to end pow at some point. otherwise we r all competing with miners dumping at low prices.
trading volume on bittrex and investor interest in this coin arent high. ending pow would probably see a pump.
waiting around for another 5+ million coins to be dumped on us is suicide at this point i fear
