This makes the whole space in general interesting - making Crypto's purchasable with USD/FIAT. Spreads things out quite a bit.
It allows for an easier measure in my mind i.e. - When BTC starts shooting up it isn't necessary that other Cryptos "go down" in BTC.
In other words, in the future, cryptos will more be measured in FIAT (until the time that FIAT is measured in Cryptos Wink
